    A campground located next to Oyodo Beach, a beach where sea turtles lay their eggs, 20 kilometers from the Matsusaka Interchange. A fun destination for children and adults alike, the campground's vast, 30,000 square meter grounds enclose tent sites as well as air conditioned cottages and bungalows, a pool, and a miniature golf course. Campground users can also order barbecue made with local Mie Prefecture ingredients such as Matsusaka beef. The sea sprawling in front of the campground can be safely used for swimming as well as clamming and fishing.
  • Louvre Sculpture Museum

    This sculpture museum is located a five-minute walk from Kintetsu Sakakibara-Onsenguchi Station. It was opened by Takegawa Yujiro in December 1987. The 1,300 sculptures on display are from ancient to modern times, and all of them were brought to Japan from the Louvre Museum in Paris. You can enjoy sculptures from the Louvre while still in Japan. The exhibited works are molded directly from the actual sculptures, so everything from their size to every scar is exactly the same. You can fully appreciate the many famous pieces that line the museum and appear in textbooks.
  • Toba Sea-Folk Museum

    You’ll find this museum in Uramura Town, Toba City, Mie Prefecture. It collects, stores, and exhibits materials that focus on people’s relationship with the sea. You’ll find over 60,000 items that cover everything from ships to woman divers, fishing gear, and documents related to fishing methods. 6,879 of these items have been designated National Important Tangible Cultural Properties. The repository that houses 80 wooden boats is especially amazing. It was designed by Hiroshi Naito and won the Prize of AIJ (Architectural Institute of Japan), and it was chosen as one of the Top 100 Public Building Designs as well. The facility offers crafting experiences, wildlife observation, and a range of other activities.

    This facility where you can casually enjoy sports such as golf and natural hot springs is located approximately five minutes from the Isewangan Expressway's Wangan-Nagashima Interchange. The garden course is filled with nature surrounded by flowers and greenery. The authentic short course that can be fully enjoyed by veterans and beginners to golf without any worries, it is possible to also play at time throughout the year. There are also tennis and horseback riding facilities. In addition, at the multi-purpose hot spring rest facility with natural spring water directly from the course called Kurhaus, there is also a spring you can drink from, including ones where you can enjoy a steam bath, far-infrared sauna and other various baths. You can taste set menu items and dishes such as hamburger steak at the restaurant.

    This park is located in Dogayama-cho, Yokkaichi City. Built around a pond, the park's grounds have been planted with cherry trees, plum trees, and a variety of other flowering plants, making it a popular destination for flower viewing. Designed to be a park where visitors can have fun and learn new things, the park has paddleboats, a fishing pond, and a school.

    梅の花が咲いており、子供連れで散歩するにはいい雰囲気でした。ひが少ないのでのんびりできます。設備はないですが持ち込みでバーベキューをされている方がいらっしゃいました。弁当などを持っていって行くのもおすすめです。遊具があるので子どもは喜ぶと思います。桜の木もたくさんありましたのでまた桜の時期に行ってみたいと思います。 管理人の方がとても親切。

    This museum is located in Kokubu-cho, Suzuka City. Adjoined by the National Historic Site-designated Ise Kokubunji Ruins, the museum displays archeological exhibits such as artefacts discovered at the ruins and other archeological sites in the city. In addition to its standing exhibition and special exhibitions, the museum conducts tours of the Ise Kokubunji Ruins and holds activity classes.

    This tourist farm offers strawberry picking from late December through May, and has varieties like Akihime and Benihoppe. The greenhouses have wide walkways and elevated growing shelves for easier picking that even children can enjoy. They also have a rest station and a mini-cafe. From June through August they have blueberry picking, and a pool facility for children and adults.

    This park is located in the Mt. Tomoyama of Daio Town, Shima City, Mie Prefecture. You can enjoy a wonderful view of the Ago Bay here. There’s a visitors’ center, an open lawn, three observatories, a camping area, and a lodging facility that can accommodate up to 100 people. You’ll also find a multi-purpose gym, a tennis court, and other such amenities. You can go for a stroll along the approximately 2.5-kilometer walkway and gaze at the coastline and scenery, too. Summer brings with it pool activities and swimming at Jiro Rokuro Beach.

    This leisure facility located approximately 15 minutes by car from the Yokkaichi Interchange is where you can enjoy activities and athletics in the middle of nature. On their athletic course that uses natural features, you can challenge yourself to 30 different wooden equipment. It has facilities such as a super slider where you can quickly go down the 150-meter course and a roller skating area that can be enjoyed by everyone from small children to adults. You can enjoy barbecues at the day camping area, and it is also wheelchair-accessible. The large observatory-like structure gives you vast views of the Yokkaichi cityscape and Ise Bay.

    An art museum located a 10 minute walk from the west entrance of Tsu Station in Mie Prefecture. Each year, the museum holds four exhibitions of artwork from the Edo period onward. The museum's standing exhibition focuses on artists from Mie Prefecture. The museum has three exhibition areas, the content of which is changed several times throughout the year. The museum offers a stamp rally which involves travelling to various areas in the facility, fun for families with children. During the summer school holiday, the museum also offers workshops. The museum also has a restaurant with a terrace and a shop which sells original merchandise and art-themed goods.

In the spring, the rows of cherry blossoms and flower beds are very beautiful. You can also see fountains in the summer. There is a resting space and accessible restrooms, making it a popular place where people of all ages can relax.

    "This porcelain shop has been in business since the Edo period. The shop displays a collection of porcelain and Nishiki-e prints dating to between the end of the Edo period and the early Meiji period. The establishment is one of the ""Ise Street Corner Museums"" - small facilities run by born and bred Ise natives which introduce the living and breathing culture of Ise. There is an old 64-meter-long trolley rail running from the entrance of the shop to the back which was once used to haul merchandise, hinting at the prosperity once enjoyed by Ise City's Kawasaki district, which was known as the ""pantry of Ise."" In the shop's storehouse in the back (entry fee required), you can view Edo period porcelain as well as a variety of antiques and curios which convey what life was once like here."

    A campground located south of Kintetsu Railway Akameguchi Station on Prefectural Route 567. A clear river flowing from the Akame 48 Waterfalls area, selected for inclusion in a list of the Heisei period's 100 best water areas, flows nearby the campground's tent sites. Here children can come in contact with pristine nature by playing in the river and taking in the forest atmosphere. Another great thing about the campground is its reasonable tent site fees. The campground also offers bungalow lodging; rents out camping and barbecuing equipment; and, depending on the day, holds camp bonfires. The camp is a great place to interact with other campers and create family memories.

    渓流で遊びたいと思って、赤目渓谷に。四国と東京組が、ちょうど合流するのに中間にある。キャンプ場の前を流れる渓流で、子供たちは、魚を追いかけたり、泳いだり目いっぱい遊ぶ。時間を見て、赤目48滝に行って、忍者体験したりもした。キャンプ場は、トイレ等も綺麗。炊事場もOK。又、道具等のレンタルも、そろっているようです。管理人さんも親切。温泉も車で、10分くらいの所にあります。

    This historic building is located inside Castle Square in Tamaru, Tamaki Town, Watarai County. It served as a living room and bedroom for the lords of Kuno Castle when they moved in Tamaru Castle. It was reconstructed inside of the castle in the early 1990s. Although admission is free, tours are by reservation only. The building also hosts several formal tea ceremonies per year.

    This general park is Yokkaichi city's largest, and embraces the hilly Satoyama landscape, mixing cultivated and untouched land. The North Zone has a chestnut forest, natural lawn, observation hill, and large play area. The South Zone has a zoo of small animals. There are all kinds of animals around, including sheep, goats, and peafowl, and every Sunday they have a rabbit-holding time. The park also has massive play equipment like the Long Slide and Wide Slide, making it very popular with children.

Spread across the eastern side of the Kii Peninsula, Mie prefecture boasts hundreds of kilometers of pretty coastline comprising the oyster-rich Toba city and Shima National Park all the way down to Kumano, a city that marks the beginning of part of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, which runs into neighboring Wakayama prefecture. However, Mie is best known for the Ise Jingu Shinto shrine inland, one of the oldest and largest shrines in the country.
