A large mannequin standing at the entrance to the men's area on the first floor of the Meitetsu Department Store Men's Building in front of Nagoya Station. The mannequin was created in 1973 on the one year anniversary of the opening of the Seven Building (later renamed the Young Building and closed in 2011) to serve as a symbol of that facility. Throughout the year, the mannequin is dressed in a variety of seasonal outfits. The mannequin also serves as a popular meetup spot.

This wouldnt have made my things to do list in Nagoya but I happen to be around the area and stumbled upon it. So there, a mannequin. A gigantic one nonetheless. But is it worth planning it into...

This clock is a famous meetup spot in Nagoya Station. Consisting of four classically styled clock faces on a golden pole, the clock makes it possible to check them time no matter which direction of the station you're coming from. The clock is owned by JR Central Building Co., Ltd., which operates complex facility such as Office Tower and Hotel Tower connected directly to Nagoya Station. The clock was erected in 2002 to commemorate the third anniversary of the Towers and provide the time and guide signs. Accordingly, signs halfway up the clock's pole provide directions to the different towers which make up the complex.

This sculpture is located inside JR Nagoya Station. Situated on the western of the station at the Taikoudori Exit, this sculpture is often used as a meeting point due to its proximity to the ticket gates. The statue is thought to be standing guard over the meeting spot, and also the golden clock on the east side of the station, at the Sakuradori Exit.

Aichi Areas

Aichi is a prefecture of great natural beauty with Nagoya city at its heart, a busy hub home to a labyrinth of underground shops and the 17th-century Nagoya Castle. Castles are easy to find in this history-rich prefecture, but the highlight for history buffs has to be the Museum Meiji-mura, where preserved buildings from the turn of the 20th century are displayed in all their grandeur in an outdoor museum.
