    A Japanese restaurant located on the grounds of Nagoya Castle. Here you can enjoy famous Nagoya kishimen flat noodles. The restaurant also serves a wide variety of other dishes, from tebasaki karaage deep fried chicken wings to miso kushikatsu (skewers of fried food), breaded pork skewers covered with a miso sauce. In addition to an indoor seating area, the restaurant also has an outdoor seating area from which diners can take in the surrounding seasonal scenery. A popular establishment which sees many tourists visiting Nagoya Castle, during lunchtime lines of waiting customers can form outside the door.

    2019年4月に名古屋城を観光した際にランチ目的で利用しました。温かいきしめんを注文。お揚げとワカメと鰹節だけのシンプルなきしめんでしたが、味はそこそこ美味しくて満足できました。

    "Matabei is a sushi restaurant located on the first floor of the Shokei building in Midori-cho in the city of Owari-Asahi in Aichi Prefecture. Founded in 1988, it features many kinds of tuna-based menu items, including the rarely encountered Pacific Bluefin tuna and authentic sushi, all prepared by a true master chef. Its signature dish is Seiro Mushi Sushi, ""warm sushi,"" in which conger eel, prawns, and scallop are steamed together in a bamboo steamer. A large variety of seafood dishes, including sashimi dinners and Ten Don (tempura on rice) rounds out the menu. As the name of the restaurant suggests, the variety of daiginjo sake known as Matabei is also served."

The conger eel of their anago sushi is tender and fatty and is so popular that people come from as far away as Tokyo to get some. Their sashimi futomaki rolls and seafood chirashi-zushi come recommended.

They offer a variety of dishes using fresh local ingredients, including their Himakajima inspired Takobutsu Meal Set and their Kakiage Rice Bowl with lots of shrimp and octopus. They also operate a guest house where you can ease your fatigue away while watching the sunset into sea from their top-floor bath.

    This popular restaurant is about 500 meters from Mikawa Tahara Station on the Toyohashi Railway. It takes about seven minutes on foot to reach it. Known for their teppanyaki Iron plate dishes such as okonomiyaki and rice bowls , their signature okonomiyaki pancake and yakisoba fried noodles have been a hit since they opened 1978. People also favor their Tahara Cabbage Croquettes. Replacing the standard potato with heaps of cabbage, they feature the light crispness and distinctive sweetness of cabbage. Their Tahara Pork Sauce Katsudon rice bowl, includes a large fried pork cutlet and their own original sauce, is also recommended.
