    This exhibit hall and literature museum is situated within the Rengejiike Park in Nyakuoji, Fujieda City. A permanent exhibit of the regional history from primitive times to today is on exhibit with historical documents concerning Imakawa, and earthenware excavated from the Shidagunga ruins, a National Historic Site. In the literary museum a permanent exhibit focused around the fourrepresentative writers from this region, Kato Masao, Fujieda Shizuo, Ogawa Kunio, and MurakoshiKaseki are on display together with videos, literature, and picture books.

    This museum is in Tateno, Iwata City. This museum exhibits artifacts pertaining to the origins of scent, allowing one to experience fragrance through time, the history of which reaches as far back as to the four great civilizations of the world. At the fragrance experience corner one can try your hand at mixing fragrances and sandblasted bottles. In the adjoining terrace cafe is over 200 books on fragrance one can leisurely relax with free refill drinks.

    Shimada City Museum Annex is a five-minute drive from the Hassashi or Mukuya Interchange and about 16 minutes from the Shimada Kanaya Interchange, a little way northeast of Shimada City Museum on the Kawagoe Highway. It is made up of three exhibition spaces: a traditional Japanese-style house, the Unno Mitsuharu Memorial Woodblock Print Collection, and the Museum of Folk Culture. The traditional house, built in 1890, is a machiya townhouse that displays materials on folk culture, and outside is a well from that period. The Memorial Collection is centered on the works of wood block artist Unno Mitsuharu, a native of Shizuoka Prefecture. From time to time, curators give gallery talks.

The main theme of the permanent exhibitions of the main building are the travelers and their travels who stopped at the Shimada-juku station, waiting to cross the Oigawa River in the later part of the Edo period. Temporary exhibitions are displayed in the special exhibition room. On the east side of the remains of the old river crossing there is an annex, restored house from the Meiji period.

    The museum is located near the Shimogumi Community Center on a side road off Prefectural Route 69, and is designated as a National Important Cultural Property because of its valuable remains as a samurai residence. The current main building was rebuilt after the Great Ansei Earthquake, and the museum exhibits the collection of samurai armory, furnishings reminiscent of life in those days, and photographs of the house.

    This cultural properties center is located on the east side of the Iwata City Library. They store, survey, and research pottery and relics unearthed from ruins within the city. Upon receiving a notification in connection with the Law for the Protection of Cultural Properties, they perform consultation, and will handle questions and inquiries relating to any aspect of cultural properties, including folk materials and natural monuments. In the exhibition space on the first floor, remnants from the old stone age to the middle ages which were unearthed in the city are on display, with explanations for representative ruins and for the flow of relics.
