    "Approximately a nine-minute walk from the Hakoneotome exit of Gotemba Station on the JR Gotemba Line, or approximately a three-minute drive toward Lake Yamanaka from the first exit of the Gotemba Interchange on the Tomei Expressway. The long-established Japanese confectionery store Toraya is directly managed at the foot of Mt. Fuji, where its main factory is located. Seasonal yokan (a bar of sweetened and jellied bean paste), ""Shiki no Fuji"", which expresses the beauty of Mt. Fuji in each of the four seasons, is a limited-sale item only available at the Gotemba store. They are sold in different varieties in spring, summer, fall, and winter. At the Toraya Karyo, a tea shop adjacent to Toraya, visitors can enjoy sweet treats unique to the area, such as ""ammitsu"" (dessert including agar jelly, boiled peas, canned fruits, and red bean paste) made with Mikuriya sencha green tea from the Gotemba area."

    This restaurant is located in Gotemba City, Shizuoka Prefecture. It offers items such as their Fuji oroshi soba, which features soba noodles made with their Fujimi no Mizu spring water and specially-made buckwheat flour topped with grated Daikon radish, as well as their famous Fujimi dango (sweet dumplings). Guests can take in a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji from the restaurant's interior and its parking lot. Due to its location near attractions such as the nearby observation deck and the Otome no Kane (Maiden's Bell), the restaurant is visited by many tourists.

    毎年元日に、この店の駐車場に車を停め、富士山の写真を撮っていました。 その後、味噌おでんを食べたり、土産を買うのが元日の定番だったのですが、 残念ながら閉店したようです。 今年も元日と、1月25日に行ったのですが、駐車場にバリケードが置かれてました。 店の中を覗いたのですが 土産物や、食事のサンプルがなくなっていました。 残念です。

    This confectionery is in Niihashi, Gotemba City, Shizuoka Prefecture in a simple, dark-colored building. Colorful packages with lovely sweets adorn the interior, along with original cakes made with seasonal ingredients. The “Ponyo Ponyo” cream puffs are the most popular item by far, and they’ve even been featured on TV. The crust is doughy and the filling nice and creamy, making it a delectable treat.

    ケーキを何個かかって帰りました。チョコレートケーキは濃厚なんだけど、飽きのこない味付けで食べやすかったです。

    This is Japan’s first fresh fruit jelly specialty shop located in Higashitanaka 2-chome, Gotemba. The shop owner makes more than 10 types of fresh fruit jelly every morning using seasonal fruits selected personally by the owner at the Tokyo market. The jelly, using generous amounts good quality fruit, has gained popularity and more than 1.8 million pieces have been sold in the 10 years since opening in 2006. The shop has appeared in the media as well.

    A bakery located in the multipurpose resort Toki-no-Sumika, which is either a five-minute walk from Iwanami Station, a ten-minute drive from the Gotemba or Susono Intercahnge, or reachable via a free shuttlebus from three different train stations. It offers freshly baked bread. Recommended choices include the most popular rolls filled with sweet bean jam and walnut and baked in a stone oven. The sweet bean jam contains a generous amount of chunks of walnuts, which makes for a substantial snack. In addition to baked goods, it is also known for its homemade Nenoji Tomato Ketchup and its Yokubari Set, containing packets of four kinds of sausages.

    A restaurant located in Fujioyama Roadside Station, the only roadside station along National Route 246, about a 20-minute drive from the Gotemba Interchange. The restaurant's large windows not only let abundant light in but also make it a fine site for viewing Mt Fuji. A wide-ranging menu of dishes made mostly from local ingredients is available. Recommended dishes include the Kintaro Power Don, a rice dish produced by an entertainer from Oyama Town; and Fuji-Ten soba or udon, noodle dishes that contain fish cakes in the shape of Mt. Fuji. From opening until about 10:30 a.m., the restaurant even offers a breakfast set. Reservations are necessary for large groups.
