    "This public bathhouse is located in the heart of the Toi Onsen hot spring town, which has long been known as ""chomei no yu"" (baths of long life). It is about a 50-minute bus ride from Shuzenji Station on the Izuhakone Railway on the Tokai Bus to Matsuzaki and a five-minute walk from the Baba bus stop. The small bathhouse, which features indoor baths and elegant outdoor baths, is situated near Anrakuji Temple's Mabuyu, the baths that lead to the development of Toi Onsen. The high-quality free-flowing sodium calcium sulfate and chloride springs are said to help with conditions including sensitivity to cold, nerve pain, and muscle soreness. Some cold water is added for the purpose of cooling the hot spring water to a safe temperature."

    土肥温泉にある共同浴場の一つ。馬場(ばんば)地区にあります。近くの土肥神社と安楽寺に大きな楠の木があるので、楠の湯と言うんでしょうか。浴槽は小さいながらも露天もあります。比較的新しいので趣には欠けますが、その分気持ち良く利用できました。

    These foot baths that opened inside of Konayumoto Park in 2008 are located about 200 meters from Chitose Bridge, which spans the Kano River. It is sourced by Izu Nagaoka Onsen, a historic 1,300 year-old spa counted among Izu's three oldest along with Izuzan Onsen's Hashiriyu (gushing hot spring) and Shuzenji Onsen. The foot baths are equipped with a roof and are large enough for 7-8 people at a time. Blending water from two local hot springs provides the baths with a mineral profile that give them a mild character and strong warming effects.

    Close to Joren Falls in the tourist area of Yugashima in Shizuoka Prefecture’s Izu City, this is a restaurant in the style of an old home. The food uses boar meat such as Amagi’s famous product of Shishi-nabe (boar meat hot pot), and guests can enjoy tasting the products of Izu’s mountain and sea. The popular menu item is the Amagi-don rice bowl topped with plenty of grilled boar meat and covered in a special sauce.     Positioned on a small hill in Ida, Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Kirameki no Oka is a superb viewing spot with expansive views of Suruga Bay and Mt. Fuji. When the sun shines on Suruga Bay in just the right way the surface of the sea sparkles quite majestically. It is because of this that the view has derived its name (Kirameki no Oka literally means sparkling hill). The viewing point is known also as a place to witness glorious sunsets over the sea and the Ida district. From January to February the blossoming rape flowers can be seen in the fields below and the Chinese characters of the name ‘Ida’ can also be seen planted within the flowers. Below the staircase is the Sungo burial mound preserved in just the same way as when it was first excavated.

    A ferry that runs from the Ayumibash stop, a 10-minute walk from JR Numazu Station, to Numazu Harbor. The ferry, a popular and well-loved mode of transportation for ordinary people until 1971, was revived in 1997. Now anyone can enjoy a ride on the old-style wooden ferry and perhaps, if lucky, a view of Mt. Fuji. Visitors should be aware that runs are cancelled in rough weather, and as a rule, children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Passengers who hold a Shizuoka Kosodate Yutai Card (Child Care Special Card) receive special privileges.

We recommend going early, as the shop closes up as soon as it runs out of inventory for the day.

    Cape Mihama in Toda, Numazu City is a promontory. The terrain forms a beak-like shape called a sand spit. It is made from earth and sand which are carried on the ocean current from Suruga Bay then accumulate there. It provides a bathing beach on the port-side coast and Mihamamisaki Park as well as facilities such as Suruga Bay Deep Sea Creatures Museum and Zousen Kyoudo Shiryou Hakubutsukan (Museum of Local Shipbuilding Materials) where you can learn about the nature and history around the promontory.
