    Shizuoka Izunokuni-shi Nagaoka 260-1
"Located about 1 minute by car from the Izu Nagaoka IC on the Izu Chuo Highway and about 7 minutes by ropeway from Izu-no-kuni Panorama Park, this ""Japanese space"" themed terrace at the top of Katsuragi Mountain has an observation deck, sofa area and stone floor area where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay. There is also a modern Japanese-style cafe, Katsuragi Saryo, and a coffee shop, Katsuragi Coffee."

We spent more than an hour up in the Park, covering some of the trails which offered good view of Mt. Fuji and cities down hill. A pleasant and easy walk with some good photo spots.

"Nihondaira Digital Broadcasting Tower is a 95.5 meter-high digital broadcasting tower that is situated on top of the Nihondaira plateau in the foothills of Mt. Fuji. Its official name is ""Nihondaira Digital Broadcasting Station."" The tower is a multi-station broadcasting tower responsible for broadcasting TV signals in Shizuoka Prefecture; it serves as the primary television broadcasting station for Shizuoka. Located as it is in a scenic spot near Mt. Fuji, great care was taken to ensure that the design of the tower blends in with the Nihondaira landscape. As the tower is not a tourist facility, it is not possible to go inside, and visitors should not attempt to climb the tower."

Apart from temples, Japan has many other beautiful places to visit and this is definitely one of them. This place is big and it offered visitors a gorgeous view of surrounding area and Mount Fuji...

    Shizuoka Shimoda-shi Shirahama

Shizuoka Areas

around-area-map

With the giant Pacific Ocean to the south and the great Mount Fuji to the north, Shizuoka prefecture is blessed with some of the best views the country has to offer. The white sand beaches of the Izu Peninsula are a rare find on mainland Japan, neighbored by beautiful cliffs, tumbling hills, and natural hot springs. As Japan’s largest producer of green tea, the age-old tradition of tea drinking is ubiquitous in Shizuoka, from the miles of tea fields to the old tea houses hosting traditional tea ceremonies.
