The establishment serves light meals, snacks, and soft drinks. The restaurant's Majimena Yasai Curry is one of the most popular items on the menu and is made with an abundance of large-cut vegetables grown completely without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. The filling and exquisite Enshu Futago-don rice bowl is topped with a heaping mound of kamaage boiled and homemade-style soy sauce-stewed shirasu whitebait from the Enshu Sea. The Konami's Soft Serve Ice Cream, topped with a special sauce made from seasonal fruits and vegetables, is also popular.

The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere, and hosts a variety of appealing, genre-less live performances, including rock, folk, jazz, and burlesque.

  • Kondo Coffee

    Shizuoka Hamamatsu-shi Chuo-ku Chitosecho 14
This coffee shop, established in 1951, is a five-minute walk from Hamamatsu Station. Identifiable by its retro sign, the establishment continues to serve old-fashioned nel drip coffee. The shop's coffee beans used for both hot and iced coffees are coarse-ground to suit nel dripping, resulting in coffee that has a light flavor with added depth. The shop's coffee is attentively drip brewed to order, and because nel dripping does not extract the oils in the beans, you'll find that even when drinking your second cup in a row, you won't be tired of the flavor. You can also enjoy the shop's choice coffee along with a slice of apple pie or pound cake in the counter seating area.

"A cafe styled like a classic Japanese house looking out over Lake Inohana. It offers home-roasted coffee and Chinese tea as well as sandwiches made with their homemade bread and desserts in ""Daimyojinyama Village"" that started as a liquor store The charming interior features recycled old timbers, furniture, and tools that were used in a sake brewery for a number of years. The customer tables are all made from wooden tubs that were used for charging sake in the brewery. Their coffee is carefully and individually made from the roasting to the brewing and uses the natural waters of Okumikawa mountainous region. Their baked treats, made with rice flour also used in the sake brewing process, are known for their fragrant scent of rice and chewy texture which will leave you wanting more."

The Sachertorte, a fluffy chocolate dough coated with a chocolate glass, has been a popular signature item since the store opened, and many repeat customers come from far and wide to enjoy the exquisite harmony of the apricot jam accented by the sourness of the apricot jam. Shizuoka Areas

around-area-map

With the giant Pacific Ocean to the south and the great Mount Fuji to the north, Shizuoka prefecture is blessed with some of the best views the country has to offer. The white sand beaches of the Izu Peninsula are a rare find on mainland Japan, neighbored by beautiful cliffs, tumbling hills, and natural hot springs. As Japan’s largest producer of green tea, the age-old tradition of tea drinking is ubiquitous in Shizuoka, from the miles of tea fields to the old tea houses hosting traditional tea ceremonies.
