    Gifu Pref. Gujoushi Hachimanchouhashimotochou 956
Sample Kobo is an experience-type tourist attraction in the Gunjohachiman District, Gifu Prefecture. Located in a 150-year-old building converted from a “machiya” (traditional wooden townhouse), Sample Kobo provides visitors with the opportunity to see, handle, and try their hand at making non-edible food models (of the type used in restaurant window displays in Japan). Advance booking by telephone is needed to participate in the experiential activities. At a price of 900 yen (tax not included) for one item, participants can spend around 20 minutes making model Tempura or ice cream; this activity is very popular with both adults and children. Sample Kobo also has a shop selling lifelike food models in the form of mobile phone charms, fashion accessories, etc., which make great souvenir gifts.

You can tour the factory except for in the summer and winter, and taste freshly-made ham in the adjacent shop.
