This roadside station combines many kinds of facilities in one place, including a free footbath, a morning farmers’ market, and a restaurant that serves local cuisine, and an ice cream and yogurt specialty shop. Customers can enjoy local dishes at reasonable prices, such as Salt-Broiled Sweetfish and Wild Yams, and on the 20th of each month, Kei-chan, or local chicken cooked in a traditional style, is served. All the buildings, including the retail stores that sell local products and the restaurants that serve local cuisine, are named after a collection of ancient and modern Japanese poetry, Kokinshu, and there is even a hot spring bathing facility built in a Neo-Japanese architectural style.

We visited the foot onsen and restaurants here twice. The restaurant in the back has delicious drinks and a wood stove.
