A large park along the Hida River. The roughly 70,000-square-meter site has a variety of facilities like a soccer field, a tennis court, a ground golf course, and a bike path. It's also one of the best places in the city for flowers with cherries, tulips, and more blooming in season. They rent bikes and tennis gear, and there's lots of playground equipment like slides and benches. It gets busy with families on the weekends.

"A farm located at the northern end of ""Maze, Gero City, a Village of Greenery and Clear Streams."" It was recognized as an official ""Beautiful Village"" in 2007 by the Association of The Most Beautiful Villages in Japan. They are committed to growing safe, delicious, pesticide-free blueberries and wasabi using organic fertilizer. Located in a cool region at an altitude of 688 meters, the large day and night temperature difference leads to a balance of sweet and sour flavors. You can eat the fruit on the spot where it was picked, but it may taste even better chilled and eaten beside the adjacent stream."

An art museum located a five minute walk from Hida-Furukawa Station on the Takayama Main Line. The museum displays glassware produced in Japan from the end of the Edo period to the early Showa period, and the museum’s collection spans some 800 pieces. The pieces on display are extremely diverse, and include miniature lamps, shaved ice bowls, and glass timepieces; many draw the eye with their vivid coloring. The museum also has uranium glass pieces which glow with a characteristic fluorescent luster. Be sure to note the museum’s Taisho Roman-style exterior, which blends in with the surrounding townscape. The museum is closed during the New Year’s holidays and also only opens on Saturdays and Sundays from December to February.

    Gifu Hida-shi Furukawacho Ichinomachi 6-6
This long-established brewery that was founded in 1704 has continued to produce unique Japanese sake using Hida's rich bounties of water. The Shiramayumi pure rice sake made with local Hida Homare rice is the signature sake of this brewery and is meant to be drunk when you feel happy or something good has happened. It has a great taste with the gentle sweetness and richness of rice that slowly emanates out as soon as you put it in your mouth. The Hidano Yancha Sake has a refreshing and crisp taste to it, and is an indispensable sake for those who live in the cold regions of Hida. Energetic, brave and reliable; reminiscent of the river running through Hida.
