    "A lodging facility located on the grounds of the Tochigawakogen Camping Ground in the Tochigawa Highlands, a scenic area facing Mt. Torikabuto. The facility's restaurant, serving local cuisine, is highly popular. This restaurant is famous for its char zousui rice gruel, made with a whole char. The restaurant's dishes marinated with salt and vegetables and smoked for eight hours with cherry and oak wood go particularly well with wine and beer. The facility can accommodate up to 20 lodgers and dogs are also allowed. In addition, the facility has a bathhouse with a bath constantly replenished ""kakenagashi"" style from a source spring. The facility is used by many as base for fishing and for climbing Mt. Torikabuto and Mt. Naeba."

    牧之の宿は宿泊施設なれど、日帰り入浴も可能です。 当方、苗場山登山後に立ち寄り湯しました。 登山口駐車場から10分ぐらいの距離でとても便利。 風呂ですが、館内にある内風呂と露天風呂が離れており、渡り廊下を歩いて行かないと。 洗い場は内風呂にしか無いので、服を着替えての移動が面倒。 先に露天風呂に入ってから、内湯に行って洗うほうが良いですね。 館内で簡単(手打ち蕎麦)な昼食もできます。
