- This mountain pass is in Chino City, Nagano Prefecture. There is a tea house at the top of the pass, as well as a free observation deck. From there you get a sweeping view from the Yatsugatake Mountain's Kirigamine Highland, all the way to the Northern Japan Alps. In the evening, visitors are treated to the magical sight of Lake Suwa bathed in red light as the sun sets behind the Northern Alps.
