A Western confectionary shop which started as a Japanese confectionary shop when the original owner, a samurai from Iiyama Castle, started it. The shop's Hirano Roll cakes consist of a fine, moist sponge cake rolled around whipped cream made with condensed milk; customers love its delicate, melt-in-your-mouth flavor. The marble cheesecake, chocolat, and popular shortcake made according to a recipe unchanged since the shop opened its doors are also recommended.

The patiserrie sells cakes and choux, as well as have a sit down area for eating coffee and cakes on premises. Cash Only. Pre-order for larger cakes recommened.

妻が中毒に近く、軽井沢に行くたびに寄ります。駐車場のキャパは2台だけでテーブル席が一つとカウンター数名分という規模ですが、空いていれば我が家の大型犬（50キロ）も店内OKで、超高級車で来たゴールデンレトリバーにも会いました。味オンチ夫婦の感想ですが、どれでも美味しいので遅めの時間に行って、選択肢の減ったケーキを試すのも逆に楽しみです。

The café was opened by beauty parlor regulars, and its interior features a relaxed space with a mix of East and West. From the large window, you can get a clear view of Nakamachi and its rows of warehouses—popular with tourists. The homemade sweets are also popular, with handmade dishes like “soba powder crepe” and “soy milk and white sesame pudding” a hit with female customers. The closest station is Matsumoto Station.

A cute café located in Hotakaariake, Azumino City, Nagano Prefecture. With a yellow building resembling a small hotel, its country-style interior creates a soothing and warm atmosphere. The café’s sweets and dishes, laboriously prepared by the chef using local ingredients, are highly reviewed. Particularly popular menu options include the slow-stewed beef stew and the sweets sampler, which comes with three or four sweets. A corner of the café is a shop space selling natural stone accessories and knickknacks. The picturesque scenery of Azumino stretches out from the windows on the second floor, and here you can relax and forget the passage of time.

Kukuya Syunsui is located near to the front gate of Shinshu Zenkoji Temple and sells Shinshu cakes and confections. The shop sells various goods in collaboration with a hand towel shop, Kamawanu, and they also have Zenkoji Temple ‘Yawataya Isogoro’ peppers, popular as souvenirs from Shinshu. Additionally, they sell Shinshu miso, Shinshu fruit jam, honey, and Western and Japanese style confectionery among other things. The shop has a full take-out menu and their soba crepes and soba galettes can only be tasted here. They also have limitedly available foods on the menu too.

The shop makes its guests feel relaxed and nostalgic as well as being soothed by a cup of coffee. It is an approximately three-minute walk from JR Matsumoto Station.

This shop makes delicious taiyaki fish-shaped sweets with the same traditional single mould cooking method used by the initial owner who left Manchuria after the war. Each one is made with care using carefully selected safe ingredients—you will never forget the taste. Taiyaki ice-creams are available for a limited period and the balance between the great bean jam and the hand-made milk ice-cream is perfect.
