This souvenir shop is located about a ten-minute drive from Yamanakako Interchange and about a 20-minute drive from Kawaguchiko Interchange. It is immediately next to both the Oshino Hakkai and Oshino Hakkai Iriguchi bus stops. The shop is convenient for people visiting Mt. Fuji, Oshino Hakkai, and other tourist destinations in the area. Their specialty is kusa mochi, which are made and grilled right at the shop. These extremely popular mugwort-flavored rice cakes are made with underground water from Mt. Fuji and flavored with two varieties domestic mugwort. In the spring the shop also sells sakura mochi (rice cake with bean paste wrapped in a pickled cherry leaf), a seasonal exclusive. We also recommend their soft-serve ice cream, which comes in flavors including white peach and Hakkai Ramune. Lavender flavor is also available during certain parts of the year. This quiet and relaxed cafe and sundries shop just for adults on the shore of Lake Yamanaka lies off the beaten path. It offers items such as dried flowers and antique goods, as well as a selection of cakes which are also available as takeout. Children under the age of 10 years old are not welcome here.

They do not allow kids under 10, but they also do not allow takeaway of the apple pies. That’s ridiculous! So for those have kids under 10, NO Need to come if you want to try the apple pie!
