There are various kinds of horses to meet including thoroughbreds, trotters and ponies, and one can ride each and compare. At the ground’s restaurant popular dishes include steak, hamburgers with highland vegetables, and hashed meat with rice. In the warmer months one can bring their pet and enjoy a barbecue out on the terrace.

A restaurant located on the grounds of Hinomizu Ranch Farmhouse at the foot of the Yatsugatake Mountains. Everything on the menu is made by hand by the owner, and here customers can enjoy dishes made with an abundance of homegrown vegetables and bacon; yogurt and pudding made with farm fresh milk; and homemade breads. Particularly recommended is the lunch menu, which consists of several varieties of soups, seasonal salads, and breads hot out of the oven. The restaurant also sells its fresh-baked breads, and these make great souvenirs.

To be honest Makiba Park is not really a park but a pull-off rest area from the road connecting Kobuchizawa down in the valley (with its highway exit and train terminal) with the local resort area...

Yamanashi prefecture is the proud home of one of Japan’s most celebrated icons: Mount Fuji. Although the mountain straddles both Yamanashi and Shizuoka, the most breathtaking views of Fuji-san can be seen from the Fuji Five Lakes north of the mountain in Yamanashi prefecture. The plethora of outdoor activities in and around the lakes all have the benefit of the country’s highest mountain as their backdrop, and we can assure you that it is an unforgettable sight.
