Fujiten Snow Resort is a ski resort in a great location where you can enjoy skiing and snowboarding while taking in the views of Mt. Fuji. There are a variety of slopes aimed at children beginners and slopes for more advanced skiers. All equipment can be rented at the resort. Outside of winter you can enjoy mountain biking grass skiing sledding and more. In October 2009 the snow resort was selected as ‘a sacred place for lovers’ as it’s one of the best places to propose marriage to a loved one. Events on love life and marriage are held here from time to time.

My kids really wanted to have fun in snow/ski and Fujiten resort was a good option for us despite most of the snow being man-made at this time of the year. We stayed a few days in Fujikawaguchiko...

This outdoor resort is located in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture. From the 1,900- meter peak, you can see all of the magnificent Kiyosato Highland and enjoy amazing views of Mt. Fuji and Southern Japan Alps. Guests can enjoy attractions including an athletic park in the summer season and skiing in the winter season. The ski lifts stay in operation even during the off season so that people can enjoy the wild grasses and flowers and the views of Mt. Fuji and other nearby mountains at the peak.

Kamui Misaka Ski Resort is great for beginners and children learning how to ski. They have a ski school for kids and juniors, as well as a Kids Town area that’s fun for parents and children alike. Being only about 80 minutes from Tokyo adds to its popularity. There are five runs: two for beginners, two for intermediate level skiers, and one for advanced level skiers.

Sun Meadows Kiyosato Ski Resort is located at an elevation of 1900 meters on the slopes of Mt. Akadake the highest of the Yatsugatake mountains. At the ski resort is a bar lift so even novice skiers can safely navigate around the advanced slopes. On site are restaurants a bakery shops and more. In the restaurant you can eat fresh highland vegetables from the buffet. At the cafe positioned on the slopes you can enjoy many kinds of dishes using local ingredients. In the green season from the Kiyosato Terrace at the top of the mountain you can enjoy magnificent views of Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps (Akaishi Mountains).
