Fukui Station West Exit was redeveloped into Happiring, a shopping mall complete with tourist information center, Fukui Products Museum, Fukui City Natural History Museum, and multi-purpose rooms. It also has a drop-in care center for kids from six-month olds to third grade elementary school kids, so you can shop with peace of mind. There are many events held as well. Approximately a minute on foot from JR Fukui Station.

Fukui Areas

Northeast of Kyoto, the ancient Tojinbo Cliffs separate Fukui prefecture from the Sea of Japan in a stretch of land well worth exploring. Water sports and seaside delicacies are available in abundance as the spectacular rugged coastline flattens down into beaches to the west of the prefecture, while inland, Fukui is home to Zen Buddhist temples and historic ruins.
