    大分から福井へのドライブで立ち寄りました。サービスエリアはトイレとコンビニがあり敷地内に三方五湖の三方湖が一望出来ます。

    Including both a restaurant where you can enjoy fresh ingredients while watching fish swim in an oval aquarium and an onsen with outdoor baths, the Roadside Station Echizen is fully equipped, offering fresh vegetables, maritime products and even famous Fukui products. The “Saba no heshiko” comes recommended. It is a Fukui delicacy in which the mackerel’s organs are carefully removed before it is seeped in salt for days, and then pickled in rice bran for an additional one to two years.

    越前海岸沿いの数少ない開けた場所にある大きな建物。道の駅特有の販売所やレストランだけでなく、温泉や越前がにミュージアムも併設されている。

    A drive-in along the banks of Mikata Goko Lakes in Mikata-kaminaka County, Fukui Prefecture. The “ika don” is famous, loaded with yams, shiso, and fresh diced squid over warm rice and covered with special sauce. The limited-quantity “seafood don” is also popular, with piles of fresh seafood caught that day. The store interior features spacious large glass windows, so you can enjoy a view of the lakes while you eat.

    お腹も空いてたし名物「イカ丼」を...と思いましたが時間は16時前でして 今 食べちゃうと夜御膳の蟹が...と葛藤の末 若狭と言えば鯖。鯖と言えば「へしこ」です。ドライブインよしだの「へしこ」を購入次回は「イカ丼」を必ずたべます!!

    Located in Oi Town, flanked by mountains and the ocean, Roadside Station Natasho consists of a single-story wooden log house, and is a roadside station reminiscent of “Nata-no-sho” —a lot name that existed from late ancient period to the middle ages. In the Bussankan, they sell specialty products including Jinenjyo (wild yams)—king of wild vegetables—and “Natasho pickles” made with low sodium and using local ingredients. The jinenjyo are only available from mid November to mid December.

    日曜日の10:30ゴロに到着。賑わっています。秋なら地場産の松茸も販売しています。御食事処もありますので、お昼ご飯も食べられます。

    Roadside Station Seaside Takahama is a roadside station with great deals every day, as it features restaurants, a souvenir corner, and hot springs. On family day or healing day, you can enjoy the facilities at a lower price than usual. At the souvenir corner, you can purchase mackerel heshiko, habutaemochi, genroku mochi, slightly pickled sea bream, grilled mackerel sushi and other Takahama Town products, and even souvenirs and maritime products from Fukui and all over Japan.

    青戸の入江の側にある道の駅。 食事処と土産物屋さんが併設。 駐車場は広い。 食事処はファミリーコーナーがありました。

    This facility is part of the Uminpia Oi leisure complex where there is all sorts of fun to be had. The view from the Roadside Station offers a panoramic view of Wakasa Bay. It is popular for the sales area where you can buy seafood freshly caught offshore from Wakasa, seasonal vegetables, rice, fruit and flowers directly from producers, as well as local specialities and an 80-seat food court with a view of the sea. The gelateria, where gelato is made with fruit and vegetables from Oi-cho and milk from Fukui Prefecture, comes highly recommended.

    Most popular menu is Kaisen-Don set (fresh sasimi on rice + Miso soup + pickles) 1500 JPY. Every piece of sashimi from Wakasa bay was so fresh. Another choice are Duke-Don (sasimi marinated in soy...

    Located in Sabae City, this roadside station is a popular spot for enjoying the famous azaleas of Nishiyama Park from a nearby eating area. The first floor features a corner where you can buy Sabae-brand products like glasses and lacquerware—primary industries of Sabae City—and also a crop wholesaler space where you can buy fresh, in-season vegetables produced by local farms.

    お土産ものが豊富。食堂も併設してて、地元の方々とおぼしきお客さんで賑わっていました。まだ比較的新しいのかな？とても綺麗。道の駅ってより、地元の方が寄り添うコミュニティ広場って感じでした。 国道8号線から2キロ離れてるいるので、通りすがりの旅人には少しハードルの高めな道の駅かも知れません。

There are big festivals held in spring and fall.

    道の駅界に併設していり、道の駅さかいは農業による町おこしの拠点になります。新鮮な野菜や豆腐やお味噌の工房があります。

This roadside station is an interesting one, featuring the “Shallots Museum” with information on sannengo rakkyo, a specialty of Sanrihama. At the restaurant, enjoy domestic wagyu beef or fish sent straight from Mikuniminato Port.

    As the entranceway to Obama City, the Roadside Station Wakasa-Obama is Obama City’s first roadside station and it provides a lot of local information. It has a wide variety of goods, from specialty goods from food city Obama, to local seasonal vegetables to even crafts, and the food menu included mackerel named for Saba Kaido. There are many choices, like “mackerel dumplings,” “mackerel curry,” “mackerel & potatoes,” but “soy-aroma mackerel sandwich” is quite popular, winning a prize at the “Do-1 Grand Prix.”

In the shopping corner, they offer many popular products like Echizen crab and Echizen daffodils.

    Built in the image of Kumagawa Juku, Roadside Station Wakasa-Kumagawajuku is a roadside station at the entrance to Kumagawa, and includes a shop selling specialty goods, a restaurant with local flavors, and a resource center where you can learn about the history of Saba Kaido. Many events are held throughout the year, making it a fun place year round. The open hours for shops and restaurants for March to November are different than for December to February, so please check it in advance.

    恐竜の化石がたくさん出土する勝山市にある道の駅だけあって、恐竜づくしの道の駅でした。建物の壁には大きな恐竜の絵、すべり台にも恐竜のモニュメントがあり、恐竜が出迎えてくれます。お土産コーナーにも恐竜に関連したお土産がたくさんあり、化石発掘サンドクッキーなどを買いました。建物はとても綺麗で、トイレも清潔でした。外にはどじょう料理のキッチンカーもありました。
