    Fukui Pref. Fukuishi Kitayotsui 1-1-8
A tonkatsu breaded pork cutlet restaurant situated along National Route 8 in Kitayotsui, Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture. The restaurant’s tonkatsu, created with homemade panko breadcrumbs and fried in select oil, is a perfect balance of crisp outer crust and juicy pork. The popular hirekatsu rice bowl is covered with a special sauce giving it a flavor unique to Fukui. ここはサイドメニューもある店でしたので、カツ丼梅とイカとアジのフライを追加。アジは肉厚でサクサクでしたがイカは味が無く次回はコロッケ系で攻めます。

Fukui Areas

Northeast of Kyoto, the ancient Tojinbo Cliffs separate Fukui prefecture from the Sea of Japan in a stretch of land well worth exploring. Water sports and seaside delicacies are available in abundance as the spectacular rugged coastline flattens down into beaches to the west of the prefecture, while inland, Fukui is home to Zen Buddhist temples and historic ruins.
