    A confectioner and cafe inside the Yume Ole Katsuyama Textile Factory Memorial Hall located along Prefectural Route 17 in Showa-machi 1-Chome, Katsuyama City. They sell confections including additive-free roll cakes, custard puddings, cream puffs, and baked donuts made with fresh local Okuetsu eggs and milk. In the cafe area there are also garden seats looking out at the fields.

    A Japanese-style confection located along Honmachi-dori Street in Honmachi 2-Chome, Katsuyama City. This long-standing shop first opened during the Meiji Period and produces the famous Kurumiyaukan jelly made with the locally grown specialty walnuts. Since they were first created in 1913 these treats have been made using the same techniques, maintaining the same flavor, for over 100 years without using any preservatives. Also popular is their walnut monaka treat.

    店内入って、何の商品も置いてないため、『今日は商品ないんですか?』とこちらから聞く始末。すると、『なにが?』と買いに来た客に対し失礼極まりない返答。それでもこちらが敬語で丁寧に『でっちようかんありますか?』と伺ったところ、『でっちようかんしかない。ほかのはない。○○商品もない』と返答。。。 やる気無いなら店辞めて欲しい。 腹が立つ!

Fresh sea bream caught that morning is seasoned with ingredients including salt, vinegar, and mirin and then packed with kelp in a cedar barrel. They also sell a variety of other processed goods made with local Wakasa seafood including Wakasa-Guji, high quality tilefish pickled in miso, and mackerel pickled in rice-bran paste, a traditional meal along the Saba Kaido Road.

    A Japanese confectioner in Minamigawa-cho, Obama City. Their hand-made treats are made with carefully chosen local Obama ingredients including chilled Kumagawa kudzu and water from Uriwari Falls. Treats for sale include three varieties of Kudzu yokan-jelly and a dumpling with dough made from roasted rice flour wrapped around a deluxe red bean paste. It the attached tea deinking area you can enjoy a cup of matcha green tea with your sweets.

    和菓子屋さんですが喫茶スペースがあり、和菓子以外もいただけるようです。和菓子は種類が多くて選ぶのを迷ってしまいます。私がいつも購入するのは栗の入った上品な甘さの「きんつば」と栗が丸々一個入った蕎麦饅頭「八百姫千代寿」で私のお気に入りです。和菓子ばかりでなく、日持ちもする焼き洋菓子もあります。商品によって購入注文してから少々時間がかかるものもあり、茶菓子の接待(無料)をいただけることもあります。

They sell local agricultural goods and local specialties, hold hands-on classes including how to make handicrafts, and have a multipurpose hall available for rent. In the Yokan western building you'll find the Haikara-chaya teahouse, which offers a menu of dishes made using local ingredients.

This results in a flavor that's been unchanged for nearly 90 years. From October to June they sell a special Fukukitaru miso made from 100% local Fukui soybeans and koshihikari rice.

Their famous Nama-Dorayaki has smooth red-bean paste and red bean paste containing whole beans fillings and is made with local tofu and Echizen brown rice. It also comes in a wide variety of special limited seasonal variations. They also sell traditional sweets with traditional Echizen motifs including the Echizen-yaki Tsubo (Echizen-ware Pot) stuffed with a candied chestnut.

    福井市内から越前海岸にドライブに行った時に、途中で見つけた和菓子のお店です。老舗菓子処かと思って立ち寄ったのですが、看板商品は生どら焼きのようです。色々なフレーバーがあり、どれにしようか迷いましたがラムレーズンを購入。ちょっと変わっていて良かったです。
