    Ishikawa Hakusan-shi Chugu Hakusan Shirakawago White Road
    This observatory is located on the Ishikawa Prefecture side of the Hakusan Shirakawa-go White Road. Situated 1,100 meters above sea level, it offers a fantastic view, and visitors can take in the sight of the White Road passing through the mountains and the city of Hakusan. Also a great place to view fall foliage, in autumn, visitors can savor scenery that is particularly stunning.

    This sake brewery is renowned for its sakes, carefully crafted using several difference varieties of choice sake rice and crystal clear water drawn from a dedicated 200-meter-high well located nearby. In the brewery’s main store, visitors can sample more than 10 of the brewery’s esteemed sakes and purchase by volume exclusive sakes sold no place else. The store is one of the many which make up the Shishi no Sato Tsurugi complex.

    A station on the Hokuriku Railroad Ishikawa Line located in Tsurugi-honmachi, Hakusan City, Ishikawa Prefecture. The station has two platforms with two sets of tracks, one for each platform; the station is only staffed during the daytime. Once, the station was served by the now-abolished Nomi Line; later, the Hokuriku Railroad stations up to Kaga Ichinomiya Station were abolished, and today, this station is the last stop on the Ishikawa Line.

    A Buddhist temple enshrining a seated figure of the priest Taicho and seven Buddhist statues which convey the history of the Hakusan faith, including a bronze statue of 11-headed Kanzeon Bodhisattva, designated a National Important Cultural Property. Here, visitors can experience the history and culture of Hakusan faith, which was pioneered by Taicho. This lower temple was spared amidst the destruction of Buddhist structures which occurred in the early Meiji period and is of important cultural and historical value.

    This science museum introduces the history of erosion control projects in Mt. Hakusan as well as the abundant plant- and wildlife found in the area. The museum also serves as an information center and disaster preventing base in the event of a disaster. The museum also has a mountain climbing simulator and a realistic, 1/2 scale model of Hyakumangan no Iwa Rock, a testament to the force of a flood in 1934.

    This brewery, founded in 1870 and known for the brand “Tedorigawa,” is located in Yasuyoshi Town, Hakusan City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and overlooks the sacred mountain of Hakusan. The surrounding area is quiet countryside blessed with clear fresh air and the underground water of the Tedori River, natural features perfect for sake brewing. The brewery makes a refreshing and easy to drink sake with the flavor of the rice remaining. The range of brewed sake ranges from Junmai Daiginjo to Honjozoshu and Koshu. They are popular as a souvenir of Ishikawa.

    This is a long-established sake brewery founded in 1823, located in Bomaru Town, Hakusan City in Ishikawa Prefecture. The company’s leading sake is called “Tengu-mai.” It is made from the underground water from the sacred Hakusan mountain and rice from the Kaga plains which is brewed in a special “Yamahai” method using natural yeast. The rich taste has even captivated sake connoisseurs. In addition to Japanese sake, unique items such as “Shochu” clear liquor, honey sake and a local chili called “Kenzaki Namba” are also manufactured.

    Osshobe Park is located in the Awazu Onsen hot springs district in Komatsu City. A welcome green oasis within the hot springs resort, the Park is a great place for taking a stroll and admiring the Koi carp in the pond, etc. The Park’s name derives from the story “Osshobe Monogatari”, a tale dating back 400 years which tells of two servants working at one of the Awazu Onsen inns who fell in love. Awazu Onsen hot springs resort has been certified by the “Lover’s Sanctuary Project” as a great place for couples to visit, and there is a “Happiness Bell” monument in Osshobe Park.

    The Watagadaki Falls are one of the most famous spots in Tedori Gorge. Named “Watagadaki” (meaning “cotton waterfall”) because the water pours down like a white sheet of cotton, the Falls are the largest waterfall in the Tedori Gorge, crashing down a 32-meter-high cliff. There is a footpath that leads right up close to the Falls; to avoid slipping, it is advisable to wear shoes that give good grip, such as sneakers (trainers). The Watagadaki Falls are particularly spectacular in the autumn foliage season. The Falls are located approximately 50-minute drive from the Hakusan Interchange of the Hokuriku Expressway.

    A public facility located a three minute walk from the east exit of JR Komatsu Station. The facility is comprised of the Hito to Monozukuri Kagakukan science museum where visitors can have fun while learning about science, and the Komatsu Business Creation Plaza, which supports up and coming business founders. The museum has a 3D domed theater, one of the largest in Japan, used to present programs on the night sky and outer space. The museum also has an astronaut experience exhibits and holds workshops and experiments using everyday items. The facility's shop sells astronaut food, model kits, and original senbei rice crackers.

    "A facility located in Ataka Park dedicated to Ataka-no-Seki, a checkpoint station famously featured in the well-known kabuki play, ""Kanjincho."" The open and airy Ataka View Terrace facility offers a view of the nearby ocean. This seaside station sells a variety of local products as well as merchandise featuring Kabukki, the city's mascot. The Ataka-no-Seki-themed items make for popular souvenirs. There's also a cafe. The Kanjincho Museum holds abridged performances of ""Kanjincho"" and its three exhibit areas provide information on Ataka-no-Seki. The museum also displays kabuki costumes, joruri puppets, and contains information on the history of the area as well as the samurai Minamoto no Yoshitsune and the warrior monk Benkei."

    "The Komatsu Okimachi location of this conveyor belt sushi restaurant chain which operates in the prefectures of Ishikawa and Toyama. The restaurant's seafood is shipped straight from Kanazawa Port and Himi Port. Aiming to serve authentic, high quality sushi, the restaurant uses select seafood and the composition of the sushi rice is changed depending on the season and weather. Besides standard sushi favorites, many of the selections on the menu are seasonal, such as midwinter Japanese amberjack, spear squid, and female snow crab, and one of the biggest appeals of the restaurant is that you can enjoy these truly seasonal and ephemeral tastes here. Other park highlights include a Moebius strip statue, Japanese garden, and Edo period tea room moved to this site.

    A waterfall located about midway along the Hakusan Shirakawa-go White Road connecting the Shirakawa-go World Heritage Site in Ishikawa Prefecture with Hida and Takayama in Gifu Prefecture. The waterfall's name is the Japanese name for the bottle guard and is derived from the fall's twin stream form. The scenery created by the 86-meter-long falls is spectacular; occasionally, the nearby road becomes wet from water from the falls. In fall, fall foliage colors the bare rock around the waterfall, and visitors can enjoy the contrast created by the reds, golds, and greens. The best time to enjoy the autumn foliage is from mid- to late October. In most years, the entire length of the road is open from mid-June to around mid-November. Bus tours also often stop at this famous sightseeing destination.

    The Matto main location of a conveyor belt sushi restaurant chain operating in the prefectures of Ishikawa and Toyama. In addition to sushi made with select seafood straight from the port, the restaurant also serves vegetable sushi such as avocado, and shiitake sushi, and pressed sushi topped with lightly pickled eggplant and cucumber. The owner particularly recommends the 10 and 15 piece nigirizushi and tokujo first class nigirizushi sets. The restaurant offers lunch sets from Monday to Saturday (excluding holidays), three out of four of which are limited to a set number of customers per day. All are reasonably priced and come with nigirizushi and arajiru fish scraps soup. Diners can also enjoy fresh made sushi in comfort by making an order using a touch screen which will then be delivered via a high speed lane.

    15時前に行ったので、店にはすんなり入れました。カウンターで食べました。値段は、チェーン店の回転寿司よりは数段高いけど、ネタは新鮮でとても美味しいかったです。ランチ時にはお手軽なセットメニューがありますので、予算が無い時はそれを頼むと良いと思います。

    A leisure zone sprawling cross some 1,800 meters of coastline. Here visitors will find playground equipment and a vast natural grass lawn comprised of Mattoh Seaside Park. The zone also encompasses a variety of facilities such as Matto Kaihin Onsen, a public hot spring bathhouse; and the Hakusan Kaido Ichiba shopping mall. Many of the facilities can be freely used by local residents, like a golf course and heated pool. The Bridge Matto, a pedestrian bridge, offers a nice view of the Sea of Japan and is a popular spot for couples. With an advance reservation, you can also barbecue here from April through November. Equipment such as grilling nets and charcoal tongs is available for rent.

    A campground located at the base of Mt. Hakusan which has 20 sites capable of accommodating around 100 people. Not only a perfect place to position one's base camp to climb the mountain, the campground is located in a naturally lush area and campers are encouraged to enjoy walking and trekking here. The campground's full selection of facilities includes a rest area, toilets, and kitchen building. There's also a hot spring inn nearby which allows non-guests to make use of its bathhouse (for a small fee) as well. The nearby Ichinose Visitor Center provides mountain climbing information and also displays mountain climbing photos.

    香ばしくて美味しい蕎麦がいただけます。 ここの海老天ぷらも好きなので行くと必ずオーダーします。 ソフトクリームが美味しいらしいのですが、蕎麦に海老天ぷらを付けて、時々厚揚げを食べるのでソフトクリームまで辿りつけません。 厚揚げも美味しいのでオススメです。

    A paragliding facility operated on the Shishiku Highland situated 650 meters above sea level. In business for over 20 years, the facility was even selected for inclusion in the Ministry of Transport's (now the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) list of superior aerial sports destinations. The facility offers a large number of programs, from the Visitor Course for beginners to a paragliding licensing course. The facility also frequently hosts aerial sports events. Plus, there are a full array of accessory facilities, including a cafe and gondola which takes you all the way to the takeoff area.

    This folk museum presents the history and culture of the Tsurugi area. The museum building is notable for its abundant use of wood and its striking, artistic design. In particular, the museum looks at traditional lion dancing, and its exhibits include a wide variety of lion dancing masks not only from across Japan but also from Korea, China, and other countries around the world. Particularly striking are the museum's pair of masks over two meters tall, the largest in the world. There are also informational panels which introduce the history of the Tsurugi area, and a souvenir and gift shop selling local specialty products.
