  • Kenmin Seaside Park

Approximately a 10 minute walk from the Kaihin Koen bus stop, this sea coast park is located near Kanazawa Port. The park is on the sand dunes along the gently flowing Sai River estuary. Centered around the Oike pond where there are barbecue pits, it is a spot where visitors can enjoy sports and other leisure activities. Within the park there is a wooded area of pines along a small coastal trail, and a grassed area for multi-purpose use. In the summer months the outdoor pools are open for the season. This is the only park in the prefecture with a waterslide and it also has a wave pool, and a children's pool, making it an enjoyable place for both adults and children.

Ishikawa Areas

Long, thin Ishikawa prefecture runs along the Sea of Japan up into Noto Peninsula. Highlights of the seaside towns lining the west coast include Kanazawa, often described as a "Little Kyoto" thanks to its old wooden tea houses and geisha culture as well as its picturesque Japanese garden, Kenroku-en.
