    Osshobe Park is located in the Awazu Onsen hot springs district in Komatsu City. A welcome green oasis within the hot springs resort, the Park is a great place for taking a stroll and admiring the Koi carp in the pond, etc. The Park’s name derives from the story “Osshobe Monogatari”, a tale dating back 400 years which tells of two servants working at one of the Awazu Onsen inns who fell in love. Awazu Onsen hot springs resort has been certified by the “Lover’s Sanctuary Project” as a great place for couples to visit, and there is a “Happiness Bell” monument in Osshobe Park.

    Founded in 1994, the Nakaya Ukichiro Museum of Snow and Ice celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2014; the Museum is focused on the multi-faceted achievements of Dr. Ukichiro Nakaya, the first scientist in the world to successfully create artificial snow crystals. Using experiments and observational displays, the Museum shows, in an easy-to-understand way, how the study of snow and ice has developed since Dr. Nakaya’s breakthrough. The Museum also holds a variety of special events, including lectures and photography exhibitions, etc. The Museum is located around five minutes’ drive from the Katayamazu Interchange of the Hokuriku Expressway.

    A place where you can enjoy fruit-picking all year long, Kaga Fruits Land features a vast lot with a roofed barbeque area for rainy days, which is quite popular. Not only can you see, touch, and pick in-season fruits, you get to savor the taste of fresh ripe fruit. The genuine pizza cooked in a stone kiln is great for lunch. About 15 minutes by car via Kaga Interchange or Katayamazu Interchange on the Hokuriku Expressway.

    Japan has some of the best fruits that I've had in the world. They're so good with farming and agricultural development. This spot is a testimony to that. The strawberries were delicious!

    Designated as a Natural Cultural Asset in 2002, the Fukata Kyuya Yama no Bunkakan is a renovation of the offices, stone warehouse and gate of Yamanaga - a textiles factory built in 1910. The first floor displays Fukata Kyuya’s relics, and the second floor is a storehouse of materials. You can peruse the documents about Fukata Kyuya, the mountains, or the forests in the library. Approximately 10 minutes by car via Kaga Interchange on the Hokuriku Expressway.

    "A popular sightseeing destination located in the Wakura Onsen hot spring village. Hot spring waters well up from under the ground here, and there are numerous facilities in the park which make use of this abundance. Examples include a bench warmed by hot spring waters and a ""suikinkutsu"" which plays ethereal music. Women love the hot spring hand bath, a large basin filled with hot spring water next to a bench where you can sit and soak your hands without getting your clothes wet. In addition, the park also has a hot spring plaza where you can drink hot spring water straight from the source or buy raw eggs nearby to make your own slow boiled hot spring eggs."

    A gallery and bookstore produced by the Hotchkiss advertising company. The first floor is a bookstore and the second is a gallery. Every three months, a different craftsperson or artist is chosen to be featured in the gallery. At the same time, books which influenced the artist up to the present time are sold on the first floor. The bookstore's lineup changes completely each time a new artist is featured.

    A museum dedicated to conveying the culture of Kanazawa-style teahouses to the people of today. The museum is housed in an actual, prototypical tea house which was used in the Edo period. The first floor serves as an art exhibition area in which are displays items such as colorful and extravagant kanzashi hairpins used by actual geisha. The second floor is a spacious parlor whose walls are painted in vivid ultramarine and iron oxide red. Another museum highlight is the suikinkutsu buried water jar in the museum courtyard which makes beautiful sounds as water drips into it.

    A sports park situated on a verdant hill. Much of the park's spacious grounds are covered with natural lawn. The park also has many facilities sure to delight children, including a pedal-powered miniature train and roller coaster, huge wooden playground, and train-shaped play equipment. The park has several indoor and outdoor tennis courts which may be used with a reservation. The park's heated swimming pool is available for individuals to enjoy and is also used to hold a swimming club which provides friendly swimming lessons.

    石川動物園に隣接しています。ボートや自転車のレクレーション施設は冬期間休業ですが、室内テニスコートや温水プールなどの運動施設は冬期間も利用可能です。入口近くの丘陵部ではそりなどの雪遊びをしている家族連れがいました。

The mall's plaza, identifiable by a large glass pyramid, is a convenient place to meet up spot. On floor B1, visitors will find a giant drawing by Ishikawa-born artist Yoshinobu Omori which is a popular place to take a commemorative photo. The mall also has a convenient underground parking area to help visitors enjoy a relaxing and stress-free shopping experience.

    "A five minute walk from the ""Hashiba-cho"" bus station on the Hokuriku Railroad Bus and JR Bus lines from Kanazawa Station. This museum is dedicated to gold leafing, a traditional industry in Kanazawa. The museum was started by Takaki Yasue, a gold leaf artisan who collected gold leaf artwork and tools and built a hall to display them in Kitayasue. Due to the aging of this facility, the museum was moved from the hall to its current location in Higashiyama in 2010. The museum building was modeled after a traditional Japanese townhouse and is accented with gold leaf. The domed ceiling in the museum's hall, decorated with no. 3 pure yellow gold, in particular is a must-see. The museum contains exhibits and video displays which show how gold leaf is made and applied, as well as gold leaf works of art, and visitors can learn about the history of gold leaf production and view dazzling examples of the craft."

    A gallery located in a corner of Kanazawa's Kazue-machi Chaya District. The gallery operated out of the remodeled final home and studio of Clifton Karhu, a print artist who loved Kanazawa. The museum displays and sells copies of around 20 of Karhu's works at any given time, such as prints, ink paintings, and painted plates. The gallery was designed during Karhu's lifetime. The museum's distinctive space, blending Japanese and Western influences, is also used to display art materials, brushes, and print blocks used by the artist. The museum also stores around 500 of the artist's prints and ink paintings in a remodeled kura warehouse, and interested persons can actually view and purchase these works of art, something sure to delight fans.

The museum's primary collection consists of the Ikeda Collection, a group of artworks assembled by a businessman with ties to Nanao City. The museum also holds periodic exhibitions, and visitors can view pottery such as Mino ware and Karatsu ware, Japanese paintings, sculptures, crafts, and more. In the museum's high definition video corner, visitors can view a documentary on Nanao-born master painter Hasegawa Tohaku as well as a replica of one of his ""Sanju banjin-zu"" (""Figure of 30 Guardian Dieties"")."

    北斎展を見に行きました。奇人変人のイメージが強いのですが、多くの弟子を育成したことに驚きました。弟子たちの作品はどれも精緻な技法で上手な絵画でした。北斎の若い時代の絵は精緻で上手ですが、オリジナルティがなく、平凡な印象を受けました。晩年の絵熟練した技法と構図で感動的です。

The campground has 80 open camping sites situated along the coast inside Mitsukejima Park. Vehicles are allowed in the campground and you can drive right up to your desired spot and pitch a tent. There's a beach nearby from which you can take in Mitsukejima when it is lit up at night in summer. The campground has a rest house, cook house, toilets, and other facilities. In addition, you can take a bath while enjoying the view of Mitsukejima in the open-air bath at the nearby Notojiso lodging house."

The garden, modeled after the southern European style, is planted with over 500 varieties of flowering plants. Fountains create soothing sounds in the airy, high ceilinged Garden House greenhouse. Meanwhile, in Alice's Garden, you can enjoy seasonal scenery and listen to the songs of wild birds. The garden's cafe serves herbal teas, desserts, and lunch meals. The garden's shop sells an abundant selection of aromatherapy goods. The garden's flower arranging classes are also popular. Entry free. Garden closed in winter from mid-December to late March.

In the first floor exhibition room, characters from Alice in Wonderland guide you through an amazing world. Outside the museum, there's a natural grass lawn, playground with obstacle course, and a cycling road on which you can ride fun pedal-powered vehicles. Seasonal events such as science demonstrations and experiments. Entry is free.

    A swimming beach located a 10 minute drive from the Kaga Interchange on the Hokuriku Expressway. The beach is renowned for its beautiful sands and highly transparent waters. Swimming can be enjoyed here for approximately one month from mid-July to mid-August. A lovely pine forest grows on the right hand side of the beach. On clear days, beachgoers can see Tojinbo, one of Fukui Prefecture's most scenic areas, across the beach's waters. The beach's privately operated clubhouses offer a variety of services including showers and equipment rentals. They also conduct yoga classes and music events. The beach's parking area has 30 free parking spaces and, on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and on the Bon Festival, another 200 paid parking spaces are made available.

    A history museum located a three minute walk from the Kenrokuen Garden easily identifiable by its eye-catching red brick structure. This building was once used as an armory by the imperial army as well as a facility for the Kanazawa College of Art and has been designated a National Important Cultural Property. As its name indicates, the museum contains exhibits presenting the history and culture of Ishikawa Prefecture, and visitors can trace the eras of the area, from a reconstruction of a Jomon period dog based on excavated bones, to a recreation of a Showa period Japanese living room. The museum also actively engages in a variety of activities, including holding several planned and special exhibitions throughout the year as well as seminars and lectures by curators. In addition, the museum hosts tours of nearby historical sites and temples.

    We only visited the hands on section for kids but this is a great place for primary school aged children to try on samurai costumes ( for free!), do some art and craft and learn about Japanese...

    A public facility located a three minute walk from the east exit of JR Komatsu Station. The facility is comprised of the Hito to Monozukuri Kagakukan science museum where visitors can have fun while learning about science, and the Komatsu Business Creation Plaza, which supports up and coming business founders. The museum has a 3D domed theater, one of the largest in Japan, used to present programs on the night sky and outer space. The museum also has an astronaut experience exhibits and holds workshops and experiments using everyday items. The facility's shop sells astronaut food, model kits, and original senbei rice crackers.

    小松駅前にありかなり奇抜な建て物です。沢山の地元企業がサポーターとして名を連ねていますが展示は以外と普通。サポーター企業の皆さん頑張ってください。
