    Tonami Tulip Park is a park located on National Route 359 in Hanazono Town, Tonami City. Around three million tulips of 700 different varieties are grown here each year; the Tonami Tulip Fair, which is held in spring each year, is a major attraction. Interesting sights inside the Park include the Tulip Tower, which has become a symbol of the Park, the Tulip Gallery, where visitors can view displays about tulips, etc., and the Waterwheel Garden, which features the five largest waterwheels in Japan.

    I have no doubt that when you come here during the festival seasons this park is amazing,l and it still is however I didnt see any tulips in the park itself. Loads of other flowers but no tulips...

    This botanical garden is a 15-minute walk from JR Tonami Station. This is the only facility in the world where tulips bloom year-round. In their Wonder Garden, you can see every stage of tulip growth, from budding through to blooming. Inside of the Tulip Palace, a tower-shaped work of art that displays cut flowers in a 3.7 meter-tall wall of curved glass, visitors can enjoy the curious sensation of being surrounded by 500 tulips.

    チューリップの時期には訪問できませんでしたが素敵な場所でした！！ 常設展や、企画展は興味深いものでしたね。 カフェでゆっくりお茶もできますよ！！

    Adjacent to the eastern part of Tulip Park, this art museum is part of the Tonami City Culture Zone. The Temporary Exhibition hall can accept large scale exhibits; the Permanent Exhibit hall displays the art museum's collection of works by local artists, world photographic art, and outstanding Japanese craftwork; and the Citizen's Gallery exhibits a wide variety of amateur works. On weekends, they have a variety of temporary exhibitions, workshops, and lectures.

    チューリップフェアに出かけると必ず寄ります。 展示物も好いですが、晴れて雲のない日の立山連峰の景色がみごとです。 今年から花の大谷も駐車場に移動していました。

    This museum exhibits materials related to the history and folklore of Shinminato and the area, centered around the Koju Bunko library, left behind by late Edo period mathematician and cartographer Ishikuro Nobuyoshi and his four generation offspring, as well as works of ceramics artist and first ever National Living Treasure designee Ishiguro Munemaro. Ishikuro Nobuyoshi and Ishiguro Munemaro are each connected to the current Imizu city's Takaki and Kuguminato areas, respectively. It is a place that explains difficult and deep topics in a fun and easy way.

    道の駅新湊と隣接した施設です。富山らしく、施設は非常に立派ですが、博物館というよりは郷土資料館と言った感じ。となりの高岡は奈良時代、そして江戸時代以降の栄えた記録が多いですが、新湊は、鎌倉時代後期に放生津が栄えていたようで、その頃のことを知る事が出来ました。また、測量で功を挙げた石黒信由にまつわる資料も多く展示してあります。全国的には全く知らない事ばかりなので、興味のある方は楽しめると思います。

    Elega Garden, a botanical garden established in 1987, is located about a 20-minute walk from JR Tonami Station. Attractions include a conservatory that displays mostly subtropical plants, such as heliconia and ginger, and colorful ornamental plants and a daffodil garden with about 220 varieties of daffodils. Outside, visitors can enjoy model flowerbeds and flowerbeds that evoke an English-style garden. The main building hosts seasonal flower festivals three times a year, as well as consultations and courses on gardening.

    庄川の水の資料館でしたよ。 庄川と地元の方が過ごしてきた歴史を感じられましたね！！ 江戸時代から昭和初期まで行われてきた、流木作業を再現したジオラマ模型の展示は感動しましたね！！

    この街で活躍した左官職人の鏝絵が多く展示されています。旧小杉町の庁舎で、綺麗に修繕されていて、昔の洋館の雰囲気を味わうことが出来ます。入館料は無料なので、街歩きの途中で立ち寄る事をお勧めします。鏝絵に興味がある方は、体験も出来るようです。

    場所は庄川水記念公園内の高台にありました。 地元の庄川出身の、松村外次郎さんの寄贈による美術館で 地元の方に愛されていますね！！

    自家用車で向かいました。広い駐車場があります。 あいの風鉄道「石動駅」からも市営バスでアクセスできるようです。 桜町遺跡から出土した遺物が展示されています。 屋外には住居や船などが展示され無料で見学することができました。 実際に出土された場所までは約100m離れていて、展示場に車を停めていくことになります。
