    This temple is in Asahi-honmachi, Himi City. It is number 23 on the Hokuriku 33 Temple Pilgrimage. It was founded in 681, and every 33 years it offers a viewing of the Thousand-Handed Kannon Bodhisattva enshrined within. The gingko tree planted in the temple grounds at the time of its founding, making it over 1,000 years old, is a National Natural Monument and one of Japan's largest trees.

    JR氷見線の氷見駅から住宅地を抜けて歩いていける距離にあります。平日ということもあってか訪れている人はだれもおらず静かに散策することが出来ました。本堂や階段を上がった先にある観音堂など、どれも古刹らしい雰囲気で厳かな気持ちになります。

    Toyama Himi-shi Honmachi 4-9 (Himi-shi Education Bunka Center)
    This museum is in Honmachi, Himi City. The permanent exhibits are divided into four thematic sections: Introductory Display, Himi History, Himi's Fishing Industry, and Agricultural Living, and they also hold special exhibits related to local history. They have a diorama of the National Historic Site, Ozakai Cave Dwelling Site and other historical materials dating back to primitive times, as well as tools used in Himi's fishing industry, agriculture and other folk materials to bring the city's history and culture up close.

    氷見市の歴史的な遺産を展示しています。一部撮影禁止のエリアも有りますが、ほとんどは可、それどころかネットでの登録を推奨しています。受付の方も大変丁重でした。結構対応してくれた方の感じというのは観光客の心に残ります。

    This automaton clock is installed by the Minato-gawa river in Honmachi, Himi City. It's designed around Ninja Hattori, one of manga artist and Himi native Fujiko Fujio (A)'s most famous characters, and at regular times the characters appear and put on a water and music show. It happens every hour between 9:00 and 19:00 weekdays, and every half hour on weekends and holidays.

    朱色の小さい神社です。境内に車が停まっているので駐車場化しているのかもしれませんね。特徴がある神社ではなく、一般的な神社のように感じます。

    JR氷見駅から徒歩4-5分程、住宅街の一角にこの神社は在りました。設置されているご由緒書からですが、金沢藩から氷見総社の称号を得るほどだから、ある程度名が通った神社のようです。
