    This sake maker has a long history, going back to 1880. They continue to make sake that appeals to the people of Gokayama. They use water piped from under the soil of a natural beech forest which acts as a natural dam, and high quality Gohyakumangoku and Yamadanishiki rice to create richly flavorful sake. They offer varieties like undiluted genshu, high-grade josen table sake, honjozo, and premium junmai, junmai ginjo, and junmai daiginjo sakes, as well as limited seasonal goods.

    This sake brewery is on Prefectural Route 373 in Kita-omachi, Himi City. They use steamed sake rice exposed to the Ainokaze sea breezes blowing off Toyama bay to make a variety of sakes, including Ariso Akebono, using traditional wooden tank fune presses and brewed gently with no undue pressure on the mash. They do not offer tours.

The shop also has about 500 vintage wines in stock, with over 10,000 in their special wine cellar that can be bought in-store with a reservation.

The shop is run by a certified kikisake-shi (sake sommelier) and wine adviser, who has carefully selected local sake, wine, and shochu. The storage cellar takes up half the shop's interior to keep their stock stored at perfect temperature and humidity.
