    This park is in Juni-cho, Himi City on Prefectural Route 76. It is centered on Juni-cho Lagoon, mentioned in Otomo no Yakamochi's Japanese poetry in the Manyoshu as Fuseno Mizuumi, and a registered National Natural Monument as habitat for prickly water lilies. It offers views of flowers like Japanese irises and hydrangeas, and in winter swans stop over.

    This park is in Chuo-machi, Himi City on National Route 415. It's themed around the manga Saru the ProGolfer, one of manga artist and Himi native Fujiko Fujio (A)'s most popular works. You can take a picture with a life-sized model of the main character, Sarumaru, against a mural of a golf course overlooking the Tateyama mountain range.

The grounds also have Museum of Folklore, Gyujin Memorial Art Gallery, Museum of Ceramic Art, and Museum of Archeology.

    This park is on Prefectural Route 67, in Funakura, Toyama City. Centered around the 345 meter peak of Mt. Sarukura, it is equipped with a lawn, play equipment, campground, and other facilities. The peak has an observatory, Kaze no Shiro, which offers a view of the Toyama plain and Toyama bay, and in fall you can enjoy the foliage of Jinzu gorge. The observation deck also has a barbecue area.

    This museum is on Prefectural Route 207, Chaya-machi, Toyama City. Its collection includes the nationally designated Important Cultural Properties Sakai A Ruins Artifacts, as well as artifacts collected by Toyama archaeologist Shosaku Hayakawa. There are clay and stone tools excavated from prefectural ruins, as well as bones and other Buried Cultural Properties on display, to help teach about local history up close. They also have ancient historical activities like learning to make fire.

    This gallery is in Inotani, Toyama City, in front of Inotani Station. This was the location of an important position on the Hida Kaido Road, on the border between former feudal domains Etchu and Hida, and holds exhibitions related to the Nishi Inotani Checkpoint built here by the Toyama Domain. It exhibits old documents, and a recreation of the checkpoint in wood, to help teach about Inotani of the time period, as well as the Hida Kaido Road, Jinzu Gorge, and Enku Buddha statues.

    This park is in Jogayama, Yatsuo-machi, Toyama City. It is built on part of the mountain adjacent to the town, and from the peak you can see the old townscape of streets with many kura storehouses, Toyama Bay and Tateyama mountain range. The area is also planted with a variety of cherry trees, making it a famous spot for hanami cherry-blossom viewing parties. You can also see gyoiko cherry, with their green-tinged blossoms.

    This multi-purpose facility is heated through thermal recycling. They have an active zone with a pool and bedrock spa, and a refreshment zone with large baths and outdoor baths. The two outdoor baths, the fresh feeling Hisui-no-Yu and the traditional stone-built Jomon-no-Yu alternate between men's and women's use. Hisui-no-Yu also offers a view of the Tateyama Mountain Range. The large 25 meter pool has an adjustable depth system that makes it popular with swimmers young and old. They also have jacuzzi and whirlpool baths to massage your whole body with bubbling water.

    This art museum is adjacent to the Asahi Town Lifelong Learning Center. It has collected and displayed works from artists connected to Asahi as well as local crafts since its opening in 1991. They also hold special exhibits five or six times a year, which are marked by their acceptance of all kinds of art regardless of genre, including traditional Japanese paintings, western-style paintings, wood sculptures, and installations. They also hold works by representative Japanese artists like Yumeji Takehisa, Hanji Toyoaki, and Santo Ohira. It also serves as a place for interaction and community in cooperation with the attached Lifelong Learning Center.

    This park has become a symbol of the Kurobegawa spring water region, a rare collection of natural springs selected by the Ministry of the Environment as one of Japan's Top 100 Famous Water. It creates displays of water's dynamic movement using the naturally flowing springs. The area is open year-round and free to use, and lets visitors find a deeper appreciation for pure water, and hopefully shares the importance of keeping our water clean.

    This park was originally called Gionden, because it was once part of Kyoto Gion-sha temple's gardens, it became Gyoden in the local accent. Famous for its spring cherry blossoms, early summer Japanese irises, and the Gyoden no Sawashimizu spring water (one of the Top 100 Heisei Famous Water), its most impressive sight is probably the iris blooming season from mid- to late-June.

    This pool is in a multi-use leisure park with one of the largest Ferris wheels on the Sea of Japan. There is a flowing seawater pool that is 165 meters around, a triple layer water slide, and children's pool, attracting huge crowds during the open season. They also sell light meals, drinks, pool floats, goggles, and picnic sheets, so it's popular for easy access to swimming.
  • Uozu Comprehensive Park

    This leisure park is at the mouth of the Hayatsuki River, flowing through the southwest end of Uozu City. There is a scenic outlook offering a view of the Tateyama Mountain Range in the distance, with Toyama Bay right in front of your eyes. There are about 350 cherry trees in the park, of the Yoshino and Sato-zakura varieties, and is designated one of Toyama's 70 best cherry blossom viewing spots. In the height of cherry blossom season, the Sakura Pageant festival is held on a weekend, and the trees are lit up at night.

Toyama is one of the three prefectures that house the Japanese Alps, with its southern and eastern borders comprising one long stretch of mountains, out of which the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is forged. While traditional crafts fill the northern coastal cities of Toyama and Takaoka, thatched roof houses offer unrivalled views against a backdrop of fantastic scenery at Gokayama in the mountainous area in the south of the prefecture.
