    This Japanese-style restaurant is located near the JR Niigata Station. Its purely Japanese appearance, like a sake brewery, is attractive to customers. The relaxing interior, from which the garden can be seen, is an elegant space that can be used for both course meals and for entertaining guests. The Sado Koshihikari rice, cooked in copper pots and traditional cooking stoves, is highly reputed, and there are an abundance of dishes that use Niigata’s specialty products, such as blackthroat perch, Sado sushi and A4 and A5 rank Murakami beef. The alcohol-tasting six drinks of Echigo menu, which allows customers to compare the taste of six different sake, is also very popular.

    A cafeteria on the first floor of the Niigata-ken Suisan Kaikan in Chuo Ward, Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture. The restaurant operates amidst a direct-sale floor selling marine products and local seafood caught by members of the Niigata Fishery Cooperative Society. Jizakana Kobo offers a full menu of rice bowls which give diners the chance to enjoy the fresh bounties of the ocean off Niigata at reasonable prices, including Alaskan pink crab, three seafood variety, and Japanese amberjack rice bowls, as well as the Jizakana tarekatsu pork cutlet rice bowls. The restaurant also offers seasonal menu items and items limited to just a few portions each day.

    A restaurant located within Ponshukan, a commercial building within JR Niigata Station. Here you can taste some great food which makes plentiful use of ingredients from Uonuma such as Koshihikari rice and mochi pork from southern Uonuma, Uonuma wine wagyu beef, snow chilled vegetables, yairo shiitake mushrooms, and fresh seafood. The restaurant’s specialty is the cooking of Koshihikari rice and fresh fish in a traditional cooking stove. Charcoal grilled wagyu beef, shiitake mushrooms and fresh fish are also popular. They have a wide range of local Niigata sake too with over 100 to choose from. Their lunch menu of sushi and sashimi is also very popular.

    This Japanese restaurant is located in Chuo Ward, Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture and is said to be the birthplace of “Wappameshi” rice, one of Niigata’s signature dishes. The restaurant founder conceived of the dish with Kitaoji Rosanjin. It involves bending a thin piece of cedar to create a “wappa” container, into which is placed rice boiled in soup stock, seasonal seafood, and other ingredients. The “sake oyako” dish, made with Murakami-produced salmon and salmon roe, is quite popular. There’s also “noppe (soup with fried tofu and other ingredients),” tender Namban shrimp, oysters, and other types of Niigata cuisine, not to mention a great lineup of local brews.

    This hideaway-style Japanese restaurant and bar, which boasts a Kappo cuisine menu, using local chicken and fish, is located in Chuo Ward, Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture. Its specialty is fried young chicken, the tender meat of which is cut into half-length or thick slices and then well-fried. The crispy texture and juicy meat are irresistible. The head chef personally selects the fresh fish for sashimi to be used in the restaurant. These, and the yakitori skewers, each prepared by hand, are customer favorites. The drinks menu is also well stocked, with over 40 kinds of Ume-shu (plum wine) and sake brewed in Niigata, including Swan Lake Amber Swan Ale, which won the highest gold prize in the world.

    Located a convenient two-minute walk from JR Niigata Station, you can enjoy Japanese cuisine and local sake here in the brewery-like atmosphere. It features a wide selection of dishes and courses that use Niigata ingredients, from the fresh sashimi or charcoal-grilled fish caught in Sado, to the “Kogane buta (Golden Pork)” slow-matured in a snow room, or the succulent “Murakami Beef.” Depending on availability, you might even enjoy the clear-bodied squid sashimi named “squid odori-zukuri.” After trying some local Echigo sake, you can top is all off with “ice-cold slow-matured Sado koshihikari” cooked in a copper pot.

    新潟駅の万代口から徒歩すぐ！こちら古町にあるお店の駅前店ですが、非常にクオリティが高いです。お魚はもちろん、個人的なお勧めはハラミ串。これがおいしい！お寿司も握ってもらえるので締めにありですね。非常に満足度高いお店です！

    団体で使いました。 店内は綺麗です。 3980円のコースで、喉黒の天ぷらなど、料理は美味しかったです。 2時間飲み放題付きでしたが、多少時間はおまけしていただいたと思います。 店員さんの対応も良かったと思います。 駅前にあるので、帰宅も便利です。 クレジットカード利用可ですが、５％増しでした。
