    "MUJI Campsites was established in Tsunan based on the concept of ""enjoying nature just as it is."" Located next to 903-meter Mt. Yamabushi, it offers a panoramic view of one of Japan's largest fluvial terrace. In the surrounding broadleaf forest of trees such as beech, Mongolian oak, and white birch, visitors can enjoy collecting of wild plants or mushrooms. The spacious grounds offer large campsites, including a permanent tenting site and cottages that visitors may want to use in bad weather. In addition, visitors can enjoy such outdoor facilities as a full-scale mountain biking course, fishing areas, walking trails, and a water park, all of which allow visitors to enjoy nature to their heart's content."

    新潟の津南にある無印良品のキャンプ場。長野県栄村との境で、山の奥深くにある。各サイトともかなり広く、余裕を持ってキャンプが楽しめる。プライベート感があり、高いススキで囲まれており、芝生も気持ちいい。センターハウスには無印良品の商品をはじめ、食べ物、アウトドア商品が充実。アウトドア体験も釣りやカヌー、自転車などたくさんある。無印良品のキャンプ場はどれもハイレベルで良い。

    火打山登山口から近いので前泊で利用しました。芝生の平地が多くテントは張りやすかった。管理事務所内に水洗トイレがあって24時間利用できました。 夜中の星空が印象的でした。

    This campground is connected to Shimamihama beach. This campground, built in forest dedicated to harmony with nature, has 32 tent sites and four communal kitchens. The wide tent area contains eight permanent tents. They have a full range of goods for rent including tarps, cooking sets, sleeping bags and more, so anyone can come and enjoy outdoor fun with little prep. There is fun for the whole family, with is a trim course and a bird sanctuary in the park, perfect for strolling through the natural scenery, and on clear days the view from the observation deck reaches all the way to Sado Island.

    For over 20 years, this campground in the middle of the woods has continued to make everything by hand. Surrounded by the campground’s distinctive atmosphere, visitors can get away from the everyday and enjoy outdoor activities. The campground’s log houses, handmade by the owner, have actually been submitted as works of art in the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale, an international art festival held in Echigo-Tsumari that is one of the largest in the world. The campground continues to carefully craft everything in it with attention to minute detail by hand, including not only the log house exteriors and walking paths but also the interiors and facilities. Another great thing about the campground is its reasonable fees for tent sites and rental equipment.

    A campground situated on the Daigonji Highland sprawling midway up Mt. Amamizu. Here visitors can enjoy the great outdoors of this lush highland area; a farm, pond, and iris garden can also be found on the highland. The campground has facilities suitable for a variety of camping styles, including spacious tent sites, cottages, and bungalows. You can even rent a camping set consisting of everything you need, all made by the Snow Peak outdoor equipment company, making it easy even for absolute beginners to have fun camping. Also a plus: the campground offers a full array of activities, including standup paddleboarding on the pond, Nordic walking, and backcountry biking.

    This campsite located inside of beautiful Chubusangaku National Park has 35 tent sites and a capacity of 200 campers. It is also fully equipped with cooking facilities and toilets. The Renge Nature Trail (Renge no Mori Shizen-yuhodo) that starts here takes roughly two hours to complete and is known for its beautiful autumn foliage. The campsite is located next to Remge Onsen Lodge (Hakubadake Renge Onsen Lodge), which is popular for its four open-air baths each with a different source and their great views of the Northern Japan Alps, which includes Mt. Yukikuradake, Mt. Asahidake, and Mt. Gorinzan. The campsite is open from early July to mid-October each year and closes during winter.

    This huge park located halfway up Mt. Matsushirojo in Tokamachi City leverages the former site of Matsushiro Castle, which is surrounded by virgin forests and terraced rice-fields. Guests at the park can interact with its diverse nature. The park's facilities are also top-notch. They include about 25 outdoor art installations, a promenade from which guests can view the park's hydrangeas and irises, and a campsite (reservation required). The reproduction castle, built in 1981, is popular for the views of the cityscapes of Matsushiro District and the mountains of Uonuma from its observation deck. It also serves as the finish line for the Nottore Matsushirojo snow obstacle race held every March.
