- This is a ceramic arts workshop located within Gora Park, Hakone Town, Ashigarashimo County, Kanagawa Prefecture. It has a luxurious atmosphere reminiscent of a holiday villa, and one can enjoy private ceramic art experiences. One can pick the tools, clay and glaze they like discussing their choices with the ceramic art teachers. One can try making cups, bowls and plates, either with the electric potter’s wheel or by hand. The experience lasts 90 minutes, and it is possible to produce several items if time allows.

Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo’s most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha. Visitors can also travel a little farther afield for a weekend at Hakone onsen town.
