"This bakery & sweets shop is directly managed by Fujiya Hotel, a famous hotel in Hakone Town, Ashigarashimo County, Kanagawa Prefecture. It is located along National Route 1 on the premises of the hotel. The most popular item is the ""Classic Curry Bread"", which replicates the taste of the curry served in the Fujiya Hotel restaurant. You can easily enjoy first-class tastes such as bread made with traditional recipes and sweets created by Grand Patissier Eiji Mogi for takeout."

Such a tasty bakery! We went there and got a caramely croissanty thingy and some cheese buns. Super good

A famous and long-standing bakery founded in 1891 frequently featured on TV and in magazines. The shop’s breads, made with local ingredients and spring water, have many fans. The bakery’s hot spring stew bread is particularly popular and involves a round loaf of French bread hollowed out and filled with a hearty and rich beef stew. Many of the shop’s standard and French breads have been made according to the same recipes since the shop was first founded. Eat-in space available. The closest station is Miyanoshita Station.

Kanagawa Areas

around-area-map

Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo’s most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha. Visitors can also travel a little farther afield for a weekend at Hakone onsen town.
