- This is a fried Japanese chicken specialist in Takidori, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo County in Kanagawa Prefecture. It is marinated in a special sauce and is carefully fried to order – the restaurant is proud of its great, juicy and filling chicken. It serves unique dishes such as Hakone Lava, which looks completely black or Hakone Volcanic Eruption which uses Habanero chillies and is very spicy. In addition to sampling the eat-in bowl or single dish menu, there is a wide-ranging take-out menu of lunch boxes and dishes perfectly sized for walking and eating at the same time.

Kanagawa Areas
Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo’s most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha. Visitors can also travel a little farther afield for a weekend at Hakone onsen town.
