    This sea fishing park in Naka Ward, Yokohama is a leisure spot where you can catch various kinds of fish whatever the season. You fish from the piers and a high handrail is installed all the way around. There's a parking lot on the premises, as well as Daikoku Ryokuchi Park, a shop, and a restaurant. Ryokuchi Park has a sweeping view of Tokyo Bay, as well as Kawasaki, Tokyo, and the Boso Peninsula; the view is so good that some come just to take in the landscape.

    This museum is near Minato-no-Mieru Oka Park in the Yamate-cho district of Naka Ward, Yokohama City. It was built in 1980 as part of commemorations for the 50th anniversary of Iwasaki Gakuen's Yokohama Yousai Gakuin (present-day Yokohama f College). You can find exhibits about clothing history and related crafts and painting including models of clothing silhouettes from ancient Egypt to the present. In addition, it also houses materials related to the Goethe Theater, Japan's first Western-style theater that was built in Yokohama in the Meiji period.

There are paintings using optical illusions to trick the eye, like the Flying Carpet or Flying Dragon, the Science Mystery Experience where you can go inside a soap bubble, and Japan’s first Laser Art Theater. You can touch and photograph all the art displays, and there’s enough strangeness to please kids and adults of all ages.

    NYK Maritime Museum introduces the modern Japanese shipping industry from its dawn to the present day through the corporate history of the Nihon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK). It exhibits easy-to-understand movies, valuable pictures capturing historical turning points and pamphlets of gorgeous cruise ships. Hikawamaru, an NYK ship, was designated as an Important Cultural Property in 2016. It is two minutes’ walk from Bashamichi Station on the Tokyu Minatomirai Line.

The mall stands right on the other side of Sekiteibyo-dori Street from the Yokohama Overseas Chinese School. Over 20 tenants occupy its three aboveground floors, and its most notable feature is the fact that here you can find a variety of unique, Yokohama-based establishments all under one roof, including fortune telling parlors, fashionable apparel shops, accessories shops, and boutiques. There's also a cafe and Japanese-style sweets cafe where you can enjoy a meal after going shopping.

    This flower bed can be seen in the Future Rose Garden between the Guardian of Water statue and the Festival Square in Yamashita Park a four-minute walk from Motomachi-Chukagai Station and 13 minutes from Kannai Station. One of the most famous destinations for viewing roses in the city, each year in the spring as well as in the fall, visitors can take in the sight of colorful roses in bloom. There are some 160 varieties of roses, meaning you can look and look without ever getting bored. The flower bed is lit up at night from late November to late December, with a light show held every 15 minutes as well.

    みなとみらい線の日本大通り駅から徒歩7〜8分です。初めてバレエの公演を見に行きました。大ホールは、バレエの殿堂という風にチラシには書かれていました。確かにオーケストラピットもあり、その通りの作りでした。ただ、古いため、一般客用のエスカレーターやエレベーターがなく、階段で3階まで上がったのは、なんとかならないのかと感じました。

    みなとみらい線日本大通り駅から5分くらいです。横浜中華街や山下公園にも近いロケーションです。訪れた時は、宝塚歌劇団星組の演目があり、とても混んでいました。他の演目をみたので、それほど人の密集はありませんでした。退場時には、劇場側が順番に誘導してくれており、コロナ対策は一応されていました。

Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo’s most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha. Visitors can also travel a little farther afield for a weekend at Hakone onsen town.
