A café located in a fashionable and classic European-style building located on Daikanzaka. Paty Café has been featured on numerous television programs. The café’s signature dishes are its homemade hamburg steaks and cakes. Perhaps its most popular menu item, however, is its tomato gratin bread with plump shrimp. The dish is made with homemade, natural yeast bread which takes eight days to make. This bread is then filled with shrimp and tomato cream and covered with cheese before being baked. The café also has a large drink menu, including teas, coffee, and alcoholic beverages.

A café situated in an old Western-style building. The building was once the home of Fritz Ehrismann, the Yokohama executive of silk thread trading company SiberHegner &Co. The kitchen area is now the Shoyu Café. “Shoyu” means “soy sauce,” and besides the soy sauce bread which served as the café’s namesake, the Shoyu Café offers a diverse menu of unique items, such as young sardine sandwich and a tuna sandwich and other sandwiches made with local ingredients. Perhaps the most famous item on the café’s menu is its fresh pudding. Be sure to mix in the egg yolk on top before eating.

This view-cafe is on the 69th floor of Landmark Tower, 273 meters above the ground. The glass-walled view deck has loveseat sofas for long, leisurely looks over the city. They have soft drinks, craft beers and cocktails on the menu. Their Tower Soft-Serve, 3 times taller than a normal ice cream and based on the tower itself, is a real eye catcher. They have a couple’s plan as well, offering a window couple’s seat with an original cocktail and snack plate, with entry fee included.

A tearoom located on the first floor of the Osaragi Jiro Memorial Museum in Harbor View Park. It is said that the name “Muteki” (“foghorn”) was given to the tearoom by Toriko Nojiri, wife of writer Jiro Osaragi, in reference to the title of one of his novels. The tearoom is decorated with paintings by artists Osaragi met and cat objets d’art that he loved. The tearoom’s signature menu item is its cheesecake, made according to the same recipe created by Toriko Nojiri since the tearoom first opened. The view of the park’s flower beds and Yokohama Port from the tearoom’s windows is also considered spectacular.

This cafe is about three minutes’ walk from Yokohama Station North East Exit A on Bay Quarter Walk. This is the first cafe from the 170 year old Swiss chocolate brand in the Yokohama area. Naturally, they offer a wide selection of rich chocolate treats you can only find at a true chocolatier, and their showcase is filled with a colorful assortment of over 25 kinds of chocolate from their master craftsmen, which you can pick and mix to make your own souvenir pack. There is also terrace seating to sit and enjoy something off their chocolaty menu, and takeout is also available.
