The shop's products include kamaage shirasu whitebait which is simply sun-dried with salt and boiled, shirasu-boshi boiled whitebait which is then sun-dried, and tatami iwashi sardine sheets.     Founded in 1833, during the Edo period this dye shop was an official shogunate artisan that used indigo dyeing for items like hanten half-coats and war flags. After that, they started to dye tairyo-bata (large fishing flags); this continues to the present day. Everything is carefully hand-crafted and dyed piece by piece with traditional methods used since the Edo period. Various flags are on display in the store, and maguro (tuna) tenugui towels are available as souvenirs. They also hold workshops where you can try dyeing a small version of a tairyo-bata fishing flag yourself. Reservations are required at least two days in advance.

A three-minute walk from Kawasaki Daishi Station on the Keikyu Daishi Line, it's on the front approach to the temple. Look for the large ceramic raccoon dog. It is also useful for finding souvenirs after visiting the temple.

    This is a folk art and craft shop specializing in Hakone mokuzogan wood inlay. The long-standing store once served the Imperial Family and various aristocratic households. The wooden crafts are handmade by artisans who have been training their apprentices since the Edo period, passing down a tradition that transcends the ages. The inviting shop has white walls, a vaulted ceiling, wooden floors, and an old-fashioned wood-inlay transom. Its library is a must-see.

    A shop specializing in the local Yosegi wooden mosaic handicrafts. Within the shop you'll find an assortment of different creations big and small ranging from simple bookmarks to entire chest of drawers. The patterns are made with a variety of different techniques. The method in which the different wood designs are shaved with a plane and then stuck to the box or other object is called Hari-Yosegi but when the wood design is carved into a shape as is it's called Muku-Yosegi. When such a shape is made using a potter's wheel it's called Rokuro-Zaiku (Wheel Craft). This shop features a number of Muku-Yosegi works by master-craftsman Kenji Honma.

The shop also houses a restaurant where they serve udon and soba noodles as well as oden stew and other dishes allowing you to relieve some of the weariness from travelling while enjoying the changing scenery of the seasons. One of the attractions is the variety of the seasonal scenery from spring cherry blossoms to winter snowscapes.     Great view of the bay and great beer stand. The food shops are also worth a visit. Just a short walk from Mikasa Park. Really nice little place to stop and take a break.

    Kanagawa Yokohama-shi Naka-ku Yamashitacho 3-1

    みなとみらい線の日本大通り駅から徒歩7〜8分です。初めてバレエの公演を見に行きました。大ホールは、バレエの殿堂という風にチラシには書かれていました。確かにオーケストラピットもあり、その通りの作りでした。ただ、古いため、一般客用のエスカレーターやエレベーターがなく、階段で3階まで上がったのは、なんとかならないのかと感じました。

Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo’s most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha. Visitors can also travel a little farther afield for a weekend at Hakone onsen town.
