    Tokyo Suginami-ku Izumi 3-5-3
Opened in 1955, Eifuku Taishouken has been serving delicious ramen for over 50 years. The restaurant's lovingly prepared niboshi dried sardine-based broth is made with a blend of three varieties of niboshi from Nagasaki, Yamaguchi, and Ibaraki. Eifuku-cho Taishouken's ramen is prepared with great care paid to even the smallest details, from the ingredients to the methods of preparation; the shop's ramen is so delicious, you'll want to drink every last drop while it's still piping hot, and this tasty flavor is something you'll never tire of.

    平日の11:30から30分並んで、入店。煮干しが効いたスープに大盛りの麺の中華麺¥1,130を注文。チャーシューも美味しくいただきました。ごちそうさまでした。

  • Gotsubo
    Gourmet / Alcohol
    Tokyo Shinjuku-ku Shinjuku 1-32-15
A fashionable tsukemen noodles with dipping sauce and ramen restaurant complete with terrace seating located a three minute walk from the Exit 2 of Shinjuku-gyoemmae Station on the Marunouchi Line. Designed around the concept of tsukemen eaten with vegetables, the restaurant makes use of seasonal, domestically-grown vegetables in its dishes. The restaurant's vege nibo broth, made with chicken, vegetables, and dried sardines, is rich and yet healthy thanks to the incorporation of a high amount of vegetable starch. You can choose between two types of broth to eat with your noodles-a chicken broth made with shrimp and tomatoes and a ginger broth. Gotsubo's ramen is made with black Iberian pork and, in addition to tasting great, looks chic and fashionable as well.

    Tokyo Shinjuku-ku Takadanobaba 2-1-4
"This famous additive-free seafood and tonkotsu pork bone ramen restaurant is located in Takadanobaba. Customers love the complex flavor of the restaurant's rich ramen broth made by combining a slow-stewed pork and chicken bone broth with a flavorful seafood broth created using smoked mackerel and dried bonito shavings. The restaurant's medium-thick noodles are made in-house using several varieties of lye water from Mongolia; the extra-thick menma fermented bamboo shoots used as a topping add both a pleasant texture and visual impact. One particularly recommended topping is the ""ajitama,"" a gooey soft-boiled egg marinated in an ever-so-slightly sweet soy sauce until the flavor penetrates all the way through the yolk."

    Tokyo Suginami-ku Koenji-kita 3-22-12
This ramen restaurant is located just outside the North Exit of Koenji Station. One of the great things about the place is that it's open until 2 a.m. The restaurant's signature dishes are its old-fashioned ramen made with a dried sardine-based broth, and its jumbo gyoza pot stickers. The restaurant puts particular effort into its broth, blending dried sardines from a variety of fishing ports in the aim of creating the ultimate niboshi ramen. Customers can specify not only the amount of noodles they want but also how rich they want their ramen broth to be. In the summer, the restaurant also serves hiyashi chuka chilled noodles.

Tokyo Areas

around-area-map

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
