This day-trip onsen facility allows guests to enjoy real hot spring water fed non-stop directly from a natural source while still being in Tokyo. Using a renovated old Japanese home that was built in 1946, the attractive onsen has a relaxed, nostalgic ambience. There are fourteen types of baths with greenish brown mineral water, including the rotenburo (outdoor bath) that is surrounded by greenery, the indoor bath with highly concentrated carbonic spring water, and two saunas. The restaurant is also popular as guests can enjoy soba (Japanese buckwheat noodles) and set meals while gazing out at the kare-san-sui dry landscape that recreates a Showa-era garden. The closest station is Shimura-sakaue Station.

"A day-use bathhouse which takes great pride in its natural hot spring waters drawn from 1,500 meters underground. The light brown waters come from an ancient sea dating to between two million and 130 thousand years ago and as such are what are called ""fossil water."" The sodium chloride highly saline spring contains an abundance of salt and organic compounds. Its waters have a slipper feel and are said to promote post-illness recovery and treat such ailments as nerve pain, chronic digestive diseases, and chronic women's diseases. The bathhouse is located an eight-minute walk from Itabashihoncho Station on the Toei Mita Line. Free shuttle buses operate out of Nishidai Station on the Mita Line and Tokiwadai Station on the Tobu Tojo Line."

Tokyo Areas

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
