The Dogenzaka location of this popular Mexican fast food restaurant born in California. The main item on the menu is tacos, and you can choose what type of shell, meat, and spiciness level you'd like. Taco Bell has 6,000 locations worldwide, and when it came to Japan in 2015 enthusiastic fans waited in long lines to get in. In addition to the standard two tacos supreme, the tasty cinnamon twist dessert is also a popular menu choice. The shrimp and avocado burrito, flavored with wasabi mayonnaise, is a Japan-only choice which is a little different from anything found at any other Taco Bell outside the country.

So much cleaner and friendlier than the Taco Bells back home. My Crunch Wrap Supreme was a little light on meat, but very good otherwise. Free refills on soda (unusual in Japan). English menu.

The restaurant opened its first branch in Japan here in Shibuya in 2007. Malatang itself is said to be derived from Chinese hot pot and the broth base is the same. One of the things people like about the restaurant is that you can create the soup which best suits your personal tastes-you can choose the toppings you'd like as well as the spiciness level. You can choose between two different broths for the restaurant's medicinal hot pot and there's also an abundant selection of toppings. The restaurant also serves a special soft-shelled turtle hot pot course (reservation required).

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
