Tokyo Toshima-ku Higashi-ikebukuro 1-2-2 Higashi Ike Building 12F

A two-minute walk from the east exit of JR Ikebukuro Station. This Miyagi Prefecture specialty products showroom occupies floors one and two of the Touike Building. The first floor is a shop area carrying sake, rice, seafood products, confections, arts and crafts, and other specialty products. This area is also used to test sales of new products, and hold event sales where customers can meet staff from companies which make the shop's products as well as representatives from towns, cities, and villages in Miyagi Prefecture. One of the facility's biggest draws, however, is the Date Gyutan Honpo restaurant on the second floor, where you can enjoy the tastes of Miyagi, particularly set meals, Japanese-style curry, and creative cuisine made with beef tongue.

This facility on the eighth floor of Tokyu Hands Ikebukuro mainly features cats. This location is a bit different from ordinary cat cafes since they do not offer any food or drinks inside. You can find huge cats lined up right along the entrance, and there are a variety of toys on hand to cater to each of the cats' individual personalities. Snack time is held twice every day. Anyone can participate, but customers cannot bring in their own snacks to feed the cats, so please take note beforehand. There are lots of interesting and unique facilities on hand, including a transparent catwalk that looks different from every angle as cats walk across it, and a cat-style TV that showcases info about cats.

Tokyo Toshima-ku Higashi-ikebukuro 1-23-8 Higashi-ikebukuro ISK Building 1F

This ramen restaurant takes pride in its rich miso broth, said to be the best in Tokyo. The establishment is so highly ranked, even in the highly competitive ramen battleground that is Ikebukuro, Hanada's name instantly comes to the fore when discussing tasty miso ramen in the area. The restaurant's signature dish is, of course, its miso ramen. After purchasing a meal ticket and handing it over, customers are asked if they would like extra vegetables or garlic and if they would like to add a side order of rice. The restaurant's extra thick noodles go well with the broth and have a slightly hard, chewy texture. Topped with crisp vegetables, the establishment's hearty miso ramen is truly exquisite. Situated along a small, nondescript narrow lane a five minute walk from Ikebukuro Station traveling towards Sunshine-dori Avenue, the restaurant can be identified by its yellow sign out front.
