The bridge was completed in 1940 and was to serve as the main gate for a world's fair scheduled to be held in Tokyo (which was ultimately suspended due to the war). Kachidoki bridge is a movable bridge able to open up in the middle, and when first built it was the largest of its kind in Asia. As fewer and fewer large boats traveled the Sumida River, however, it became unnecessary to raise the bridge-the last time it was opened was in 1970.

This is a long-standing sweets parlour that has inherited the tradition of the Soda Fountain founded inside the Shiseido Pharmacy in 1902. The shop offers a variety of sweets that range from the original menu since the time of its founding to modern desserts and parfait using seasonal fruits. The closest stations are Shimbashi Station and Ginza Station.

I waited almost 1 hour to order my food and they took another persons order which was only 1 person while I had 4 of my mates dying of hunger, this is very poor customer service 1 star review.

This restaurant's signature dish is its horumon-don ricebowl topped with slow-stewed horumon, a type of cuisine made with offal. Kitsuneya's popularity has even led it to being featured on television. Stewed in rich miso, the shop's horumon, served piled high, is tender, plump, and free of off flavors. Opening early in the morning, Kitsuneya is also a perfect place to have breakfast or to conclude a very long night of drinking.

When we saw the line circling the entire block, we got curious and thats how we managed to find Kitsunaya. Supposed to be fusion Korean-Japanese, beef stew or Sypkudo Ramen are very flavorful...

Branches in Japan serve not only breakfast, but also dinner items like locomoco. The shop is decorated in a classic Hawai'ian style, with a relaxed, bright atmosphere. Tokyo Areas

around-area-map

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
