    A museum dedicated to the postal service located on the ninth floor of the Solamachi mall in Tokyo Skytree Town. Based on the concept of connecting hearts and connecting the world, the museum displays some 330 thousand stamps, the largest collection in Japan, as well as 400 other postal service-related items and materials. The museum contains games, a theater, and numerous other interactive and hands-on exhibits. Its permanent exhibit is divided into seven parts and introduces the history of the postal service. There's also a special exhibition zone, letter lounge, and event space. Be sure to mark your visiting by dropping a letter off in the museum's Skytree-shaped postbox; your letter will be stamped with a date stamp containing a depiction of Tokyo Skytree.

    So if you have an interest in the Japanese postal system or want to look at a huge variety of stamps from across the world then this is tour place! Some good entertainment for kids and a small gift...

    A museum located an eight-minute walk from Odaiba-kaihinkoen Station on the Yurikamome Line. The museum is a public relations facility operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Bureau of Sewerage. Through exhibits such as a life-sized recreation of a sewer pipe, and a water quality testing lab, visitors can see what kind of work sewer workers actually do. Informational panels, interactive experiments, and exhibits such as one which allows you to look inside a manhole make it easy to understand what the Bureau of Sewerage does and how the Tokyo sewer system works. The museum's Rainbow Cinema shows short movies on the role of the sewer system and work conducted in and on it.

    Dont bother. Its just a big room on the fifth floor of a community center type building- and has no connection whatsoever to any sewage infrastructure. Has a few posters- and areas for childrens...

    A museum in the No. 2 building on the campus of Waseda University. Aizu Yaichi was an Asian art researcher, poet, and calligrapher who also served as a professor in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Waseda University. The museum displays Yaichi's collection of historical Asian art as well as archeological materials and Ainu folk items. Particular collection highlights include Yokoyama Taikan's Meian and Seison Maeda's Roma Shisetsu. The building is old reinforced concrete, but it is decorated with design touches in every corner, including octagonal carving in the large front doors, hexagonal pillars capped with beautiful capitals, and moon motifs below the handrails in the stairwells.

    Showa Gentokan located six minutes’ walk from Ome Station is a museum. It is an annex for the Showa Retro Packaging Museum nearby. It holds a permanent exhibition for Q-kobo, a unit originating in Ome by Hiromi Arita, a sumie (Indian ink drawing) artist and Chabo Arita, a stuffed toy artist. It displays many sumie and stuffed toys with a cat motif.

    猫をメインキャラクターにした作品が並んでいます。昭和の青梅とは余り関係がない。場所も狭く入館料には価しないと感じました。

    タクシーで神津島の見学をあちこちしたとき、最後に連れて行ってくれたのがこちら。地理地勢的な説明も自然の説明もまた歴史産業的な説明も一通りあって、神津島のことが何となく理解できました。訪問が8月のやや暑い日だったので、館内の空調がうれしかったです。

The museum's director, Kazuko Koizumi, opened the museum as a space to learn about how regular people lived during Japan's Showa period (1926-1989), preserving as-is the home built in 1951 where he and his family lived for 45 years as well as the furniture and other belongings in it. Each room has a different theme while also presenting the seasonal variations in life people experienced during this time period. The museum also holds special exhibitions.

    久が原駅から徒歩10分程です。住宅街の中にあります。昔懐かしい風景で、子供連れていくのにもよさそうです。

The museum presents exhibits on the plant and animal life, climate, history, and culture of Hamura City, including a standing exhibition dedicated to the theme of the area's growth and development along the Tama River. Hamura was carved out of the Musashino Terrace, and its history is inseparable from that of the Tama River. The Old Shimoda Residence, displayed outside the museum, is a home which was built in 1847 and later moved here and restored. The residence has been designated a National Tangible Folk Cultural Property.

    A two-minute walk from Omokagebashi Station. This museum, situated along the Kanda River just left of the north side of the Nakano Bridge, is operated by Tomita Some-Kougei, a longstanding dyeing company established in 1882. Here you can see examples of traditional Tokyo Some-Komon (fine-patterned dyeing) and Edo Sarasa (silk calico), as well as purchase chic and modern dyed crafts. The museum also holds dyeing activities from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the third Saturday of the month in which you can dye fabric and have it made into a fukusa wrapping cloth; with an advance reservation for a group of 10 or more people, you can also do this experience on weekdays.

The museum researches artefacts and other materials and items concerning the natural environment, history, and folk customs of the area. The museum also adjoins the Former Miyazaki Residence, a designated National Important Cultural Property. The museum holds four special exhibitions a year and also sells illustrated exhibition catalogs. The museum's standing exhibition explores the history of the area and its exhibits include an ancient earthenware cup and pot with spout designated National Important Cultural Properties, and a red suit of Japanese armor designated a National Treasure.
