A Nissan exhibition facility situated along Chuo-dori Avenue in Ginza 5-Chome, Chuo City. The facility displays historic and notable Nissan vehicles and concept cars making use of cutting-edge technologies. There are also exhibits which make use of wide screen touch panels and high definition LED screens to introduce the history of Nissan and the latest technologies which represent the company's future. There is a shop selling model cars and other merchandise and a cafe as well.

My Dad had a Datsun 160B. It was a great car, but a rust bucket. The door and front wing fell off. So thought I would take a pilgrimage, this is for your Jackie McCormack.

Tokyo Setagaya-ku Wakabayashi 4-35-1

A Shinto shrine located in Wakabayashi, Setagaya City, Tokyo. The shrine is dedicated to Yoshida Shoin, an intellectual who organized the Shokason-juku private school and who educated many reform-oriented samurai during the closing days of the Edo period. The shrine was built by Shoin's former students in 1882. Shoin is viewed as a god of scholarly learning, and many people visit the shrine to pray for success in matters such as school entrance exams.

This is a sightseeing information center established for tourists both domestic and foreign on the first floor of the North side of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s main building. The center details sightseeing routes and provides information on transportation, introduces accommodation within the city, and also sells merchandise and tickets. There is also a service that introduces volunteer sightseeing guides for foreign tourists. Open every day year-round and business hours are from 9:30–18:30.

Nezu Jinja Shrine

This is a shrine with a long history that is located in the Nezu district of Tokyo’s Bunkyo City is said to have been founded by Yamatotakeru (the 12th Emperor of Japan) about 1,900 years ago. The enshrined deities are Susanoo-no-Mikoto, Oyamakuino-kami and Hondawake-no-Mikoto. The shaden (main shrine building) built in 1706 is completely covered in lacquer and is a masterpiece of gongen-zukuri (style of Shinto architecture in which the main hall and worship hall share one roof, and are connected via an intermediate passageway), and seven buildings have received designation as national Important Cultural Properties. Vermillion-lacquered torii gates stand in a row at the smaller Otome Inari Shrine on the premises, making this a popular spot to take photos. The shrine is visited by many worshippers in April when 3,000 azaleas bloom profusely and in September when one of Edo three biggest festivals is held.

Located in the Jindaiji Motomachi district of Tokyo’s Chofu City, this is the special head temple of the Tendai sect of Buddhism and is the second oldest temple in Tokyo after Sensoji Temple. Along with halls such as the Ganzan Daishi hall, with its statue of Ganzan Daishi who attracted faith in the Edo period, and the Shaka-do (Buddha Hall) which enshrines the late Asuka period sitting statue of Shaka Nyorai (the historical Buddha), visitors can enjoy the new green leaves of early summer and the colorful leaves of autumn on the premises. The soba shops in the temple town are famous for their Jindaiji soba. The GeGeGe-no-Kitaro chaya (tea house) which operates with the theme of the comic GeGeGe-no-Kitaro is very popular. The Yakuyoke Ganzan Daishi Taisai (Jindaiji Daruma Festival) held each year on March 3rd and 4th is the temple’s largest event with approximately 300 shops all open during this time!

This large suspension bridge connects Tokyo’s Shibaura and Daiba areas. It’s a popular place for a night drive as it is illuminated in seven colors, and frequently appears on television and in movies. It’s 800 meters long, and features a roughly 1.7-kilometer, free pedestrian path that offers views of the bay during the day and of the Tokyo skyline at night.

Located on the fourth floor of Decks Tokyo Beach Island Mall in the Odaiba district of Tokyo’s Minato City, this is a museum to enjoy trick art using optical illusions. It is famous for its unusual Japanese-style trick art, which can be seen in such areas as the Edo Area and the Haunted Mansion with Funny Japanese Monsters. Instead of just merely watching, guests can also take pictures as if they were characters appearing in the strange pictures. This is a popular spot for families and groups of friends.

When we arrived we were given a presentation and explanation of how we would do to experience 3d effect. We had a nice hour with lots of laughs. And lots of fun pictures to show when we got home...
Kanda Shrine (Kanda Myojin)

This shrine located in Soto-Kanda in Tokyo’s Chiyoda City boasts close to 1,300 years of history. In the past, this shrine was revered as the Edo Sochinju (the center place to pray for local gods) with a Soujigami (general local Shinto deity) that was the patron of Tokyo’s 108 towns. There are many commemorative photo spots including the impressive Shaden (main building) built in 1934 that is completely covered in bright vermillion as well as the “Chikara Ishi,” which is a big stone that was used by young people in competitions to show off their strength. The enshrined deities are Okuninushi no Mikoto (Daikokuten), Sukunahikona no Mikoto (Ebisu), and Taira no Masakado. The Kanda-matsuri festival held around mid-May is counted as one of the three largest Edo festivals. The shrine has even become famous in recent years for collaborations with anime works.

The well renowned estate has been named Former Fumio Asakura's Garden and has been registered as a National Tangible Cultural Property. A museum located close to Higashi-Mukojima Station in Higashimukojima, Sumida City, Tokyo. The museum opened in 1989 in celebration of the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Tobu Railway company. Visitors can learn about the Tobu Railway through displays of steam locomotives and other actual railway vehicles as well as interactive exhibits such as train driving simulators. There's also an area where you can see the Tobu Skytree Line, which travels right over the museum, up close.

"Sannomaru Shozokan (The Museum of the Imperial Collections) is located within the Imperial Palace East Garden, and is managed by the Imperial Household Agency; it is around five minutes' walk from Exit C13a of Otemachi subway station. The museum was established to preserve and manage paintings, calligraphy, handicrafts and other works of art that have been donated to the nation by successive generations of the Imperial Family, and to put these art-works on display to the general public. There are a total of around 9,800 items in the museum's collections; these important works donated by the Imperial Family include the ""Doshoku Sai-e"" (""Colorful Realm of Living Beings"") hanging scrolls painted by Ito Jakuchu, and Karajishi-zu byobu ""The huge folding screen of the Lions"" created by Kano Eitoku and Kano Tsunenobu."

This is a Shinto shrine located in Yushima in Bunkyo City and is representative of an Edo-Tokyo Tenmangu Shrine. It is said that this shrine was built in 458 A.D. by imperial command of Emperor Yuraku in order to enshrine Ameno-tajikaraono-mikoto as a deity. Later in the Nanboku-cho period, Sugawara Michizane was also enshrined. As the Shinto god of scholarship, many students preparing for exams pay homage at the shrine. The precincts are so elegant, and they were the subject of works by the ukiyo-e artist, Utagawa Hiroshige. From early February at the Japanese plum blossom festival (“Ume Matsuri”), the Japanese plums are magnificent in full bloom on the grounds and the festival is busy with sightseers.

湯島天満宮の中にある宝物殿。入館料がかかるためか入館している人は少なかったですが、建物自体も立派で、素晴らしい展示物が多く、是非訪れたい場所です。
