Although the cuisine at the Zen Room is based on yakuzen theory, it is prepared with Japanese flavorings and ingredients and goes down easily. Great importance is placed on seasonal ingredients, fermented foods, and the number of ingredients, and customers can casually eat yakuzen cuisine, which is prepared with an emphasis on nutritional balance. Yakuzen soup forms the base of Yakuzen Nabe (hot pot stew), and in order to make the soup, domestically produced bone-in chicken and 18 traditional Chinese medicinal ingredients are carefully simmered for hours to extract their components. Noodles and a la carte options are also available.
