Tanita Shokudo Restaurant opened in 2012 in Marunouchi. Every day it provides not only food but also events such as body composition measurement and dissemination of information about health in order to reconfirm the connection between food and health. The daily set menus are all around 500 calories, but they are filling, delicious, and nutritionally balanced. The food is even pleasing to the eye, so this popular restaurant gets high marks.

This is a Japanese restaurant based on the 40th floor of the Park Hyatt Tokyo hotel in the West Shinjuku area of Tokyo’s Shinjuku City. Together with the magnificent views of the city from the large windows, enjoy seasonal ingredients and the taste of cuisine prepared by artisanal cooks well versed in Japanese tradition. Another appeal to the restaurant is their menu of famous Japanese sake brands that have been carefully selected from each region across Japan. During dinner time the night view of Tokyo is beautiful, and during lunch time Mt. Fuji can be seen in the distance when the weather is fine. The luxurious atmosphere that also includes individual rooms is recommended for special occasions, celebrations or even entertaining for business.

Located in Tsukishima, which is a mecca for monja-yaki (a type of Japanese pan-fried pancake), this is a popular shop which has been supported by its many fans since the mid -1950s. The secret to the tastiness is the large dried sakura shrimps in the monja-yaki. The interior of the store is decorated in a Japanese style and has a relaxed atmosphere with wide seats, equipped with vending ducts. The shop is always crowded with local regular customers, couples and tourists. The recommended dishes are the “Seasoned Cod Roe, Sticky Rice Cake and Cheese Monja”, which has an irresistible chewiness and the “Mixed Monja”, which has the perfect volume.

Out front hang the restaurant's abundant menu of seafood rice bowls as well as a sign announcing its large takoyaki. With so many choices, trying to decide what to order is half the fun. In addition to seafood rice bowls, the restaurant is renowned for its takoyaki. You can eat it in the restaurant or also get an order to go.

Tokyo Areas

around-area-map

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
