They serve Kanto-style oden hotpot simmered so long that the brown of the broth made from mainly soy sauce and sugar soaks into the other ingredients. There are over 30 hotpot items available, most of which are homemade. They also have a variety of a la carte items including assorted sashimi, pickled dishes, and fried foods.

    Tokyo Chuou-ku Tsukishima 3-17-9
An okonomiyaki and monjayaki savory pancake restaurant located in an area of Tsukishima, Chuo City popularly known as Monjayaki Street. The restaurant is a three minute walk from Tsukishima Station on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line. Operating out of a remodeled old traditional Japanese home, inside the restaurant's relaxed and retro atmosphere, you can enjoy the signature monjayaki with a cup of high-grade, select sake chosen by a sommelier. The Daruma-kun monjayaki and monjayaki with mochi, walleye pollack, and cheese are particularly popular, and you can choose to have the batter made with one of two lovingly prepared stocks-a Japanese-style stock and a chicken bone stock. The restaurant also has a two hour all-you-can-drink course and is a great place to hold a party or banquet.

First of Id like to clear something up. . . This restaurant has at least two locations. One may well be on the 7th floor of the skytree, but this review (and most of the photos from the previous...

A chicken cuisine restaurant located in the Marunouchi Oazo shopping mall in front of Tokyo Station. The restaurant serves dishes made with akadori chicken from Saga Prefecture, such as Hakata mizutaki, chicken hotpot boiled in a riche broth; korokoro-yaki, a favorite local Miyazaki dish; and tebasaki-age fried chicken wings. The chicken pot is very tasty and the fried chicken leg is amazing. The most important part is that the staff are friendly!

  • Wa-kitchen Kanna
    Gourmet / Alcohol
    Tokyo Setagaya-ku Shimouma 2-43-112F
This Japanese style restaurant, open since 2013, is in a quiet residential neighborhood near Setagaya Park. The quiet, spacious interior is perfect for long, relaxing meals. Their most popular item is the fluffy kakigori shaved ice made with ice from Nikko's Shougetsuhimuro. They top it with original sauces, and seasonal Japanese ingredients, and offer only items to make customers feel the deliciousness. They also make sure the appearance is cute, to please the eye as well as the palate. Our recommendation is the Tiramisu made with loads of mascarpone, and the mellow, Japanese style sweetness of Rich Purple Sweet Potato Milk.

Tokyo Areas

around-area-map

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
