    This huge liquor store is located on floor B2 of Caretta Shiodome a one-minute walk from the Shimbashi Station exit of Shiodome Station on the Toei Subway Oedo Line subway. Aiming to meet all your at-home drinking needs, the shop carries 2,500 varieties of shochu and 700 varieties of awamori from Kyushu and other areas, as well as sakes and wine vintages dating all the way back to the 1940s. During the shop's monthly wine day and shochu day, you can get 10% off wines or shochus by presenting a shop point card. The shop also offers samples of some of its items and can also host beverage tastings as needed.

    A company liquor store located just to the left of the Niijima Juumin Center on the east side of Niijima Island. The longstanding company which owns and operates the store was established in 1926, and here you can find a variety of shima-zake (island liquors) made in the company's own brewery. The company's most well-known brand is Shima Jiman, a series of liquors made with domestic barley; the Habushiura variety is particularly worthy of note and is an orthodox shochu with a refreshing flavor whose bottle bears a charming sky blue label. The shop also sells Nami no Ue no Tsuki, the only island liquor crafted in Tokyo which is made with koji malted rice.

The store's environment is carefully controlled, as is the temperature of their large refrigerated warehouse. They have a staff training system that involves everything from earning relevant qualifications to participating in seminars, so if you let them know what you're looking for, there's a good chance they'll be able to find it for you.

    "This liquor store is located a seven-minute walk from Oji Station. This community-based shop offers tobacco products, a large selection of noted sake brands, as well as seasonings and products from all over Japan. People coming over to Yanagida Park also like to stop by the shop as well, which makes for a small, yet calm and cozy atmosphere inside. Many of the regular shoppers here are sake experts in their own right and know exactly what to get each season and the best way to drink the shop's offerings, which makes for a fun opportunity to chat with other shoppers. The shop also carries its own brand of refined sake called ""Oji no Kitsune no Kakushi-zake,"" which is slightly strong, yet mellow at the same time. This popular item is only available during the New Year's holidays."
