- Tokyo Higashikurumeshi Yanagikubo 2-8-16
- This is a popular seafood shop with headquarters in Niigata Prefecture and more than 20 stores across the Kanto Shinetsu region (Tokyo, Saitama, Kanagawa, Gunma, Chiba, Nagano, Niigata). Its motto is to bring the entire range of seafood from the Sea of Japan, and its proprietary logistics system enables mass delivery and direct sales. It has often been introduced on TV programs as a place to enjoy different types of seafood from the Sea of Japan with a high degree of freshness despite its Tokyo location. On the fourth Wednesday every month (with the exception of December) the restaurant holds Kakujo Day when all items are 10% off (this may change on holidays). They also do a performance on an irregular schedule during which fresh tuna is cut up and sold.

- Tokyo Musashino-shi Kichijoji Honcho 1-1-8
- "This Japanese black beef restaurant has appeared in various media outlets as the store with the longest lines in Kichijoji. The shop is located facing the street, almost at the center of the town's famous Sun Road shopping district, and offers high-quality, domestically produced black wagyu beef. In addition to selling by weight for things like sukiyaki, shabu-shabu and rib roasts, they are also known for their freshly fried ""original minced cutlets."" From the moment you bite into it, this dish is bursting with piping hot, juicy meat and a crispy-crunchy texture, and since it's cooked through to the center on low heat, waiting five minutes or so before digging in is a must. Depending on the timing, there may be wait times of several hours."

Satou holds a fond place amongst my tastebuds, as its the place where I had my first ever menchi katsu, and it took me a few years to get back there to have a taste of it again. Every morning when...

- Tokyo Akirunoshi Konakano 100
- Matsumura is a high-end butcher’s shop with a history going back 70 years. It sells carefully-chosen, delicious meat from Wagyu Japanese beef cattle (which are famous for the high quality of their meat), and from Akigawa cattle, which are raised in the Tokyo metropolitan area, and whose meat has a unique flavor. There is a wide range of processed meat products, including ham, weiner (frankfurter) sausages, etc.; Matsumura’s Menchi-katsu (fried cakes of minced meat) and croquettes are also very popular. Matsumura can also deliver food products directly to barbecue sites in the Akigawa River valley.

It’s one of a very few shellfish shops in Tokyo. It’s amazing that they sell many different kinds of shellfish. I loved the local atmosphere. I bought a skewered shellfish that was very tasty.

- A local butcher shop founded in 1960 selling fresh, reasonably priced meat. Their specialty is purchasing pork after inspection while the swine is still alive. The shop's chicken, beef, and processed foods are always taste tested before being offered for sale, and so the shop has earned a reputation for safe, reliable, delicious meat. They also have lots of fried items available and supply local schools and popular city restaurants. Their popular fried patties are available in limited quantities of 40 per day.

Tokyo Areas
The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
