    A Disney theme park built around the image of a kingdom of dreams and magic located inside the Tokyo Disney Resort in Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture. The park is divided into seven differently themed lands, including an American townscape, storybook world, and futuristic space port. The park’s symbol is the gleaming white Cinderella’s Castle. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and other Disney favorites appear in the park parade and greet park visitors. The park is famous for its roller coasters such as Big Thunder Mountain as well as a variety of attractions modeled after animated and live action movies. The Tokyo Disney Land Electrical Parade Dreamlights held at night is so popular some fans come just to watch it.

    A Disney theme park focused on the ocean located inside the Tokyo Disney Resort in Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture. The park is divided into seven differently themed ports, such as one modeled after a port town and another after an ancient ruins excavation site. In addition to Mickey Mouse, characters from properties such as The Little Mermaid and Aladdin appear in the park parade and greet park visitors. The park’s attractions include not only animation-themed rides but also those modeled after live action movies such as Indiana Jones and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. At night, a fantastic and impressive water show is held on the lake in the center of the park which makes use of water screens, laser beams, pyrotechnics, and lights.

    This business area—IKSPIARI—is divided into nine zones according to theme, with 140 charming restaurants and shops to make a street filled with entertainment and fun. The centrally-located square is reminiscent of the outdoor amphitheaters of Europe, and is home to many events. There is also a movie theater, so you can enjoy a meal, shopping, and a movie—perfect for kids and adults.

    Decent eateries and shops within the disney resort line. Manage to do last minute shopping. There is a medium size supermarket. Some nice local brands too.

    Nakayama Racecourse is located on Prefectural Route 180 in the Kosaku district of Funabashi City. Japan Racing Association (JRA) horse-races are held here on a regular basis, including G1 (Grade 1) races such as the Satsuki Sho (Satsuki Prize) in spring and the Arima Kinen (Arima Memorial Prize) towards the end of the year. On days when races are not being held at Nakayama Racecourse, visitors can buy betting slips for races held at other racecourses under the Parc-WINZ system, and watch the races on large display screens (there is free admission on these days).

    Funabashi Municipal Gymnasium contains not only a large and small arena but also a heated swimming pool, training rooms, a table tennis room, a kyudo (Japanese archery) and archery range, and multipurpose rooms, among other things. There are also exhibition rooms that contain sports-related materials, including those from the temporarily closed Yoshizawa Baseball Museum. This gym also offers instruction in sports and exercises, both classes in which participants pay and enroll by the month, and one-time lessons that anyone can join for a small fee.     This Beach Park lies adjacent to the mudflat, Sanbanze, which is one of the few landing areas for migratory birds in Japan. Besides being popular for birding, one can enjoy clamming between the months of April and mid-June, which attracts many visitors. The park has tennis courts, a baseball field and other sports facilities, along with various other conveniences such as barbecue spots, restaurants, and shops providing year-round fun. Selected as one of the Top 100 Vistas of Mt. Fuji, weather permitting, the park is known as providing the Diamond Fuji view during two periods of the year, February and October.

    Just a 15-minute walk from the JR Higashi Funabashi Station, this planetarium is part of the Funabashi City General Education Center. Boasting the largest planetarium in Chiba Prefecture, the dome alone is 18-meter wide and the auditorium seats 255 people. Inside the dome is the largest projector in Chiba, lovingly called Cosmo-kun, which projects any variety of night sky scenes, and a staff member gives live commentary on the scene for that night’s sky. There are starry night sky presentations for various seasonal themes that play automatically as well for visitors to enjoy the powerful full-dome experience, and there are the constellation buttons that can be pressed to light-up to simulate the seasonal constellations.

    This museum is located at Nekozane1-Chome, Urayasu City. This museum's permanent exhibit starts with the outdoor Urayasu Town display and moves indoors to themed exhibition rooms of Umiokakeru, and Umitotomoni, introducing the life of the fishing village and its relationship with the ocean when it was at its peak. In the museum is a cafe restaurant and on weekends, retro Japanese sweets are sold in atraditional period style building.
