    The National Museum of Japanese History was founded in 1981 as a research institution to promote education with material displays and exhibitions on historical, archeological and folkloric research. In addition to its permanent exhibits, the museum also has plans for special exhibitions offering a limited chance to view highly valuable items, making it a place that truly deepens access to Japan’s history.

    We enjoyed lunch here on a very rainy day which made all other options difficult. All the rice dishes were served with red rice (I cannot remember the name) - a less processed rice than is usually...

    Sakura Kusabue Hill is a park that contains a miniature railroad 1.1 km long, athletic facilities, a petting zoo, and a rose garden. It also contains a campground for tour groups, some log cabins, and an accommodation facility with a capacity of up to 200 persons. There is a market where visitors can buy produce from local farmers and a farm-to-table restaurant. Visitors can try out a number of activities, including farm work and making pottery. This is the best place not only for families but also for groups with the purpose of experiential learning and training.

    バラ 満開の時に行った バリアフリーが無くて 不都合だったけど キャンプ場借りて BBQ 皆さんと 楽しい時間を過ごした 経験あり キャンプ場借りる人は 駐車場は 優先されて 沢山 歩かなくても良い バラは 綺麗だった

    Sakura Juntendo Memorial Building commemorates Juntendo, the medical school and clinic founded by Sato Taizan, a practitioner of Dutch medicine, in 1843. The remaining parts of this building, which was built in 1858, has been designated a Historic Site of Chiba Prefecture. The Memorial Building contains medical books and medical instruments used at Juntendo in its early days.

    日本にはオランダ医学が西洋医学として入ってきました。しかしその後、オランダ医学はドイツ医学を主体にしていると分かり、日本でもドイツ医学が主流になったそうです。ここで展示されているのはオランダ医学。日本の西洋医学のあけぼのというわけですね。興味深かったです。

    A verdant square near Inbanuma, it has a huge eye-catching Dutch windmill called De Liefde that was built as a symbol of the friendship between Japan and the Netherlands. You can find a Dutch garden to enjoy flowers from the Netherlands all year and a share garden of 24 loaned flower beds. Tulips, cherry blossoms, sunflowers, cosmos and other flower varieties bloom in all their glory from season to season. Many visitors come for the various events, such as the Tulip Festa in April and Cosmos Festa in October, held throughout the year.

    This automobile campground is in Iinomachi, Sakura City. Here on this site, overlooking the Inba marsh day camping or overnight campsites are available. The grounds have barbecue pits and even rock ovens for baking a pizza. Visitors can use the tennis courts and also enjoy bird watching in the woods bordering the grounds.

    サイクリングをしていてたまたま見つけたのですが、聞いた話ですが夏は混みすぎのようですね。かといってオフシーズンでは物足りない気がして。晴れた秋か春がいいのでしょうか。

    Mushrooms are grown in Sakura Kinokoen (Mushroom Farm) without the use of any agricultural chemicals, and visitors can gather shiitake or wood ear mushrooms here. There is also a roofed-over barbecue area on the grounds with a capacity of 160 persons, so that visitors can immediately cook and eat the mushrooms they have just gathered. They can purchase additional ingredients in the shop on the premises, as well as bringing in their own food and beverages.

    ハウス内で菌床栽培のしいたけ狩りを楽しめます。入場料、時間制限は無く、良く吟味できます。質は良く新鮮で高価です。高速道路料金や時間労力をかけて行くに足るかは考え方次第。

They offer daily multi-course meal specials featuring vegetables from their own garden and carefully selected ingredients, as well as about 4,000 wines. They have three multi-course lunch options where you can choose the pasta and main dish. It's a good place for a relaxed meal away from the daily grind.

    It has been too long since I was at Castello. Lunch there yesterday with my staff was outstanding. Even though we selected the smallest and cheapest course, it was more than enough. Always...

    駅から徒歩圏内で電車派にはアクセスしやすいです。天然温泉ではありませんが塩サウナあり。プールや岩盤浴もあります。老朽化も目立ちますが清潔感は保っていると思います。お土産コーナーやレストラン、休憩スペースもあるのでゆっくりできます。

    Straddling Sakura City and Narita City, this lake is the largest in Chiba Prefecture. Frequent land reclamation projects have been conducted at the lake since the Edo period (1603-1868), and today it is divided into two stormwater management reservoirs, one to the west and one to the north. The surrounding area is maintained as Chiba Inbanuma Park, with facilities such as a wild bird forest and cycling roads. Many freshwater fish inhabit the lake, making it a popular fishing destination as well.

This is the second location of Ginza Kimura, which began in 1882 and continues to maintain the traditions of Japanese confections. Each is made individually by hand. The “Zourokumochi” — red bean wafer cakes filled with mochi modeled as a tortoise shell—is a Sakura City classic. There is a rest area within the shop, so you can enjoy some sweets or tea on the spot.

    佐倉では有名な和菓子店です。店のつくりも歴史を感じさせます。ドライブで近くまで来るといつもお土産に買います。

    Said to be the remnants of castle for the shogun’s council members, like Hotta household, the Sakura Castle Ruins form the center of this ruins-based park. Here you’ll find various remnants of Sakura Castle, like the tower and dry moat. There’s also the Sakura Castle Park Center, which displays important historical materials, artifacts, old pictures, and models of Sakura Castle, and the Sankeitei, a tea house modeled after the Koho-an tea house in Kyoto’s Daitoku-ji Temple. The park is also famous for its plants, with cherry trees, peonies, plum trees, irises and many other flowering trees.

The interior is decorated in northern European style, and it serves freshly baked waffles, hamburgers, dry curry, and northern European cuisine, including a lunch menu that changes daily and fine cakes. Slappna, a shop that sells accessories, dishes, and other sundries, is also located in the building.

    先日友人の誕生日で、その子がワッフル大好きなので、初めて行ってみました!とても温かみのあるお店で、内装もとってもオシャレでした♪( ´θ`)ノ もちろんワッフルも美味しかったです!!前日の予約でしたが、お誕生日プレートもご用意して頂きました! 素敵な誕生日になりましたー 食器もどれもセンスが良く、欲しくなっちゃいました^_^

    These castle ruins are located in Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture. Built in 1610, the administrative headquarters of the Sakura Domain was placed here in the Edo period (1603?1868). Currently, already an abandoned castle, the site is maintained as Sakura Castle Ruins Park. Inside the park, besides being able to see the castle tower ruins and large tactical dry moat, you can also enjoy the many seasonal trees.

These include their sashimi gozen Japanese meal sets that are limited to 20 orders a day, and their ladies gozen set limited to 12 meals a day (women only). Besides table seating, they have a banquet hall that can accommodate up to 90 guests. It's great for holiday gatherings and other large parties.

    "The Old Hotta Manor, built in 1890 is the site of the home of Hotta Masatomo, the last lord of the Sakura domain. Standing in the center of an expanse of lawn, it has a splendid modern Japanese-style garden that takes advantage of the ""borrowed scenery"" of the plateau on the opposite shore. This garden is affectionately referred as ""Sakura Garden."" In 2006, the five main buildings, the storehouse, and the guardhouse were declared National Important Cultural Properties, and in 2015, the entire grounds including the garden were designated a National Scenic Beautyas ""Ex Hotta Masatomo Garden""."

The restaurant serves French cuisine made using Hokusohana beef produced locally in Sakura, fresh fish and seafood purchased from the Tsukiji fish market, locally-grown organic vegetables, etc. For lunch, there are three set meals (including one that is only available on weekdays) that make extensive use of vegetables, or diners can order from the à-la-carte menu; for dinner, there are two set meals to choose from, as well as the “Chef’s Special” set meal, which requires advance reservation.

It was built in order to preserve and utilize the old Kawasaki Bank Sakura Branch (a Prefectural Tangible Cultural Property) built during the Taisho period. There’s also a café inside where you can enjoy a hand-made meal and dessert using local ingredients.

    友人に紹介され行きました。風情があり癒し処。 露天風呂の先には竹林を眺めながら夜ともなるとライトアップされるのではないでしょうか。 風があり風になびく竹の音最高でした。 今回は限られた時間でしたがのんびりと行きたいものです。
